Tsuyoshi Domoto “Smile and collaborate! ” Confess your childhood dreams in SP! “Every day I thought about how I could become better.”

■Tsuyoshi Domoto and director Susumu Hara are also impressed! Special release of close-up footage of the “legendary leader” who won the Galaxy Award

Tsuyoshi Domoto will appear on the October 9th broadcast of “100 Million People’s Big Question!? Smile and Collage!” Two major fall project specials! ” (Nippon Television) as a guest.

In the studio, Tsuyoshi Domoto confessed his childhood dream, saying, “I seriously wanted to become one, and I thought about how I could become one every day.” Director Susumu Hara revealed, “Two of my three dreams have come true,” and about the other dream that hasn’t come true yet, “If I win the Hakone Ekiden one or two more times, I won’t be able to move on to that dream. Is that okay?” he says. Yuka Nihei told everyone that she had been interviewed for Laugh Colla when she was a junior high school student, which surprised everyone. However, Nihei regrets that his dream did not come true at that time.

“Dart Journey” is the premier version. Tokoro himself threw darts to Yamazaki-cho, Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture. When I called out to a man who was mowing the grass, he suddenly presented me with the antlers of a large deer that he had killed himself. Next, he showed off the stone carvings he had carved himself. Furthermore, the biographies of the men that appear one after another, such as the Order of the Rising Sun and Rays of Light awarded by His Majesty the Emperor, are astounding and make you wonder, “What’s the main point?” “It’s an amazing amount of information.” Who is this person?

At the music store, I was surprised to hear from a brother and sister who were present that the sound changes depending on the parts of the instrument. The store manager introduces them to rare North American instruments, and when they try out the horn, which is said to be the “world’s most difficult brass instrument,” the siblings are surprised. In addition, places and townsfolk that tug at your heart strings appear one after another, such as a vineyard run by a chatty father, and middle school students talking about their dreams for the future.

■“Travel with brass band! Special edition Osaka Prefectural Yodogawa Technical High School”
At the end of 2021, Mr. Akio Maruya, a “giant star of high school brass band,” passed away. Therefore, in this program, we will closely follow the Osaka Prefectural Yodogawa Technical High School Brass Band, which was taught by Mr. Marutani in 2004, and we will introduce the VTR that won the Galaxy Award to current members of the Yodogawa Wind Band who have never been taught by Mr. Marutani. We are holding a special project where you can watch it with us. Surprise guests in the club room include Hiroshi Sado, a world-famous conductor who has always admired Marutani sensei, and Masayo Imura, the mother of Synchro, who admired Mr. Marutani as a “comrade in leadership.” Looking back on his encounter with Marutani-sensei, Sado commented, “I became a fan right away.” Imura says that as fellow instructors, they had a common feeling of “let’s bring out the best in our students.”

What exactly is the teaching method of legendary instructor Marutani Sensei, who won the national gold medal 32 times at the All Japan Wind Orchestra Competition? At that time, the club had approximately 200 members. What’s more, about 80% of the students are beginners, and Mr. Maruya, based on his thorough individualism of not “blaming others,” praised the students who made it through the tough auditions as being “sweet.” When the students dropped out of basic training, he told them, “Just do what you want, everyone.” Furthermore, the day before the competition, he declared, “It’s no surprise that I lost.” However, there was Mr. Marutani’s strong “thought” that attracted many people.

Alumni who were students at the time can also be seen in the club room. A man who was on the verge of expulsion from school was saved by Mr. Marutani, and said, “This is the first time I’ve met an adult other than my parents who takes me so seriously.” When Sado saw the VTR, he was impressed and said, “It’s like watching a manzai. I’m moved by it, but it’s interesting.” Imura said, “(Mr. Marutani) believed in the students’ incredible strength at the last minute.”

In the studio, Domoto confessed that he himself used to worry about how to convey his true feelings, saying, “How important is it to cherish your feelings as one?” Director Hara talks about the importance of focusing on competition, saying, “Modern education tends to only pursue fun.”

And the Yodoko Brass Band appeared in the studio. We will deliver plenty of Yodoko’s sound that has inherited Mr. Marutani’s thoughts.
