■Tamio Okuda comment
Big! That’s what I thought. It turned out to be a huge book, really. When I looked at the photos, I remembered a lot of things, such as how I’m starting to lose weight after 30 years, and how surprisingly little the instruments have changed.
The first time I was photographed by Mr. Miura…I don’t remember at all (lol). It was over 30 years ago, so I don’t think Mr. Miura even remembers it. But I remember the first time we talked about how we were both from Hiroshima. When I started playing music, I felt like I was already there.
Mr. Miura’s photo shoots are very quick, and from the perspective of the person being photographed, it’s easy because he can finish the shoot quickly. And I don’t tell them to do this or that pose. Well, I’ll say it a little bit, but it’s nice that the photo is taken before you know it. He’s the best photographer in that respect (lol). I’m sure fans who have supported me for a long time will feel nostalgic, and I would also like people who are interested in photography to take a look at what kind of photos Miura-san has continued to take.
