■ Yoko Seigen Tsukasa, Kaho Fujishima, Aki Ishizuka, Natsumi Konishi, and Honoka Hirao are scheduled to appear in the emergency Youtube live broadcast!

The movie “Zenbu of Tokyo” starring all 4th generation members of Hinatazaka46 will be released nationwide on October 25th. Recently, the making photos have been released for the first time.

This is the first movie appearance for the 4th generation members, who only made their debut as idols two years ago. Eleven people, who are trying their hand at acting for the first time, have been selected as the main cast and will play life-sized characters who are students on a school trip to Tokyo. He has been hailed as the next generation ace, serving as the sole center for the single song “Kimi wa Honeydew” released in May, and co-centering with Kaho Fujishima for the latest single “Zettai Rokusen” which will be released soon. The talented Yoko Masa Genji will lead the movie as the lead.

The director has released many innovative works such as “My Man” and “#Manhole,” and his latest work “658km, A Proton’s Journey” won the top prize in the competition section of the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival. Kazuyoshi Kumakiri won three awards, including the Best Picture Award. He has created a youth group drama that is completely different from his previous works, and has broken new ground.

The script was written by Shohei Fukuda of the “HiGH & LOW THE MOVIE” series, and Ryoichi Tsuchiya of the Netflix series “Talk Survivor” and the movie “Osomatsu-san” starring SnowMan. We conducted preliminary interviews with 11 people from the planning stage, asking about their memories from their school days, episodes from before they became idols, and their thoughts on Tokyo. Based on that, we created a completely original script that incorporates the girls’ real stories.

■Director Kumakiri’s new challenge, a look behind the scenes of production!
Speaking of director Kumakiri, he made his feature film debut in 2001 with “The Hole in the Sky” and has continued to deliver films to the world, including his representative works “My Man” (2014) and “#Manhole” (2023). “#Manhole” was officially invited to the Berlinale Special section at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival. In the same year, “658km: A Proton’s Journey” won the Triple Crown of Best Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Picture at the Shanghai International Film Festival’s top feature competition for the Gold Medal. The high quality of the work has captivated movie fans.

The reason why he became the director of this work was when the producer of “#Manhole” approached him and said, “I have an interesting project that will surprise you and is not typical of Kumakiri.” Originally, she didn’t have much interest in idols, but said, “Working with Yuto Nakajima from Hey! Say! JUMP on “#Manhole” changed my way of thinking about idols.Idols are so professional. I was very impressed by his acting, his approach to work, and his attitude towards work, so I was thinking that I would like to work with an idol again, so when I met with the members of Hinatazaka46, I became interested. I’ve only made quirky movies so far, so I decided to take on the challenge of making at least one “proper youth movie.” Even though it is a genre that does not have a genre, the result is a work that allows you to feel director Kumakiri’s colors throughout.

Regarding the theme of a school trip, we focused on how we could make the most of these girls, and ideas such as a club activity or action movie were also proposed, and we decided to create a story about a high school girl from the countryside wandering around Tokyo on a school trip. ” came up with the idea. Director Kumakiri said, “When I came to Tokyo from Hokkaido on a high school field trip and went to Harajuku for the first time in my free time, I remember feeling dizzy, so I felt like I was about to experience it. But it’s a story that everyone can relate to, and I instinctively thought that a little adventure wandering around Tokyo for just one day would be a simple and interesting plot for a movie.”

The newly released making-of photos show the actors, Yoko Shogentsuka and Kaho Fujishima, who are making their first appearances in the movie, carefully checking in with each other while filming was carried out. This work was a challenge for director Kumakiri himself, but during filming, the director sometimes asked him to do things that weren’t in the script, so it was also a new challenge for the fourth generation members of Hinatazaka46. Among them, Director Kumakiri’s favorite scene is the dialogue between Hanekawa (Kaho Fujishima) and Tsujisaka (Kirari Takeuchi). He says he enjoys filming and editing because it’s fun. Don’t miss the acting battle between the two, which is worth watching.
