Alternative pop singer Nao Kawamura has announced the release of her long-awaited single “Call me”, her first in about two and a half years.
This work features up-and-coming Colombian track maker/sound producer Somaphiq, and features a driving drum’n’bass, a sophisticated hyper-pop sound, and an R&B melody.
Another appeal is the lyrics, which reflect Nao’s light mind, which has changed over the two years of production and the coronavirus pandemic.
This song is addressed to a friend who is having troubles, but it has a lighthearted message: “Facing others means facing yourself. When times are tough, let’s not force ourselves and help each other.”

Nao Kawamura has an expressive singing voice and freely moves between alternative sounds and J-POP.
