Alternative pop singer Nao Kawamura will release her long-awaited single “Call me” on October 30th for the first time in about two and a half years! Furthermore, a release party has been decided on Friday, November 8th!

Alternative pop singer Nao Kawamura has announced the release of her long-awaited single “Call me”, her first in about two and a half years.

This work features up-and-coming Colombian track maker/sound producer Somaphiq, and features a driving drum’n’bass, a sophisticated hyper-pop sound, and an R&B melody.

Another appeal is the lyrics, which reflect Nao’s light mind, which has changed over the two years of production and the coronavirus pandemic.

This song is addressed to a friend who is having troubles, but it has a lighthearted message: “Facing others means facing yourself. When times are tough, let’s not force ourselves and help each other.”

Furthermore, this time, we welcomed CEO Florian Balke from the German video team Mori, which has collaborated with many famous brands and won the Sports Emmy Award 2023, and shot a music video in two locations in Berlin and Tokyo. (MV will be released soon)

This is Nao Kawamura’s restart song, which sends a message not only in Japan but also to friends around the world.

At the same time, it was announced that a release party would be held. The venue is TRUNK(HOTEl)CAT STREET (Jingumae, Shibuya Ward).

The event will be held on Friday, November 8th with free entrance. In addition to Nao Kawamura, singers and DJs who are close to Nao will also appear.

Nao KawamuraComment

“Two years had passed when I was holed up in the studio, searching for music that would make me feel excited.

It was an important two years for me to return to my roots, and I feel like this song, which was completed during those years, is filled with words I want to say to myself.

I am also happy to have had so many connections this time, and to be able to share my work with the world as a global team.

Furthermore, for the release party, in honor of “Call Me,” we invited artist friends that we would like to talk about right now.

(Maybe there will be a last session…?)

I would be happy if you could have a chance to play with your friends, co-workers, and loved ones on the day of the event! ”
