Japanese progressive rock unit has participated in the world’s largest progressive rock festival “Cruise to the Edge” three times in 2014, 2017, and 2019, and has received high praise overseas. , “Asturias”, a progressive rock unit started in 1987 as a place for composer and arranger Yo Oyama to pursue his own music; They have been active for 37 years in three formations: “Acoustic Asturias” and the rock band “Electric Asturias”, and are recognized both domestically and internationally as one of Japan’s leading progressive rock units.

was formed in 2003 by bringing together classical musicians, and has an irregular chamber music composition consisting of piano, violin, clarinet, and gut guitar.To date, they have released three albums and performed three times. We have been active in a wide range of activities, including overseas performances and a major debut with avex-io.

In 2022, the first season of Acoustic Asturias will end and the members will be renewed. The group has restarted with a new lineup of piano, violin, cello, and gut guitar, and has received high praise for their songs and performances, which have gained even more depth with the addition of the cello. And now, the long-awaited 4TF album will be released on October 23, 2024.

At times quietly melancholy, at other times intensely thrilling, the album features a total of 9 songs that express a sense of “somewhere that is not here,” with a sense of the world unique to acoustic Asturias, which contrasts stillness and movement. Also includes a new arrangement of the main theme from the popular game “Yonakakai”. It is a work full of interesting things to listen to, with the main song being inspired by Gauguin’s painting “Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going?”
