Kenshi Yonezu’s 7th single “Peace Sign” MV has been viewed 300 million times on YouTube as of 0:31 on October 18th. This is the fifth Kenshi Yonezu music video to have been viewed 300 million times, following “Eine Kleine,” “Lemon,” “Uchiage Hanabi,” and “LOSER.”

“Peace Sign” is a song written as the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime “My Hero Academia”, which was released on June 21, 2017. Most of the scenes in the MV were shot on film, creating an aggressive image that matches the fast-paced melody. After the MV was released on June 7, 2017, it exceeded 100 million views on September 1, 2018, and surpassed 200 million views on August 24, 2020. People continued to watch it after that, leading to the current 300 million views.
