New Tokyo announces details of new EP “New Tokyo #5” Comment video also arrives

New Tokyo has announced the details of “New Tokyo #5”.

The EP, which has been in production for a one-man performance at ZEPP Shinjuku in Tokyo on Friday, November 22nd, includes a total of four songs, including the lead singles “New Dimension,” “This Reality,” and “Mirror.” Contains songs. A comment video about the EP and ZEPP Shinjuku’s one-man performance was also released. Check it out along with previously published comments.

[Comment from Toshiyuki Tanaka (New Tokyo)]

About three years ago, I read about a dairy farmer in Turkey who was able to reduce stress and increase milk production by equipping cows with VR headsets and showing them vast grasslands.
While it would be good for the industry if the dairy farmers were innocent, the indescribable sense of discomfort I felt at that time was not only a perspective on ethical issues and consumer society, but also a meta perspective on the world in which I myself live. It gave me an opportunity to reconsider.
The newly released EP “New Tokyo #5”, Zepp’s one-man live at Shinjuku “NEOVERSE”, and the accompanying artwork express these thoughts, and serve as starting points for New Tokyo and listeners to a new dimension. I hope so.
