Novelbright releases wedding ballad “Ivy”! A music video featuring the wedding of Shimon Okura and Miyu Ikeda has also been released.

Novelbright released their new wedding ballad “Ivy” for Shimon Okura and Miyu Ikeda’s wedding on October 22nd, the couple’s wedding anniversary.

The new song “Ivy” is a wedding ballad written by Yudai Takenaka (Vo) about the wedding of his friends (Shimon Okura, Miyu Ikeda) and depicts a happy couple. Yudai created the lyrics by interviewing Shimon Okura, who is his best friend and admires him as an older brother, about his feelings for Hemichopa. This song was performed as a surprise to Miyu Ikeda on the day of the ceremony, and is a warm and heartwarming love song from a male perspective.

The MV features footage of the actual wedding ceremony, including the scene where Yudai and Kaito Yamada (Gu) performed “Ivy” at the wedding.

Shimon-kun, my first senior and best friend I met after moving to Tokyo.
Yudai told me that he would sing for me when we got married someday, and that promise came true the other day.
I wanted to give Michopa a surprise song at that time, so this is the song I wrote after interviewing Shimon-kun.
Both of them were very happy with it, and we decided to release this song because we wanted more people to hear it.
It ended up being a very memorable song.
This is one of my favorite ballads myself.
