Director: Yoshiyuki Kishi x Screenplay: Kankuro Kuto x Starring: Masaki Suda – this is an entertainment film about immigrants, “Sunset Sunrise.”
This work humorously depicts the interactions between office worker Shinsaku Nishio (Masaki Suda), who moved from the city on a trial basis, and the residents living in Minamisanriku, Miyagi Prefecture, and the strength and warmth of the people. A human comedy work that turns into entertainment while confronting social issues such as Japan during the coronavirus pandemic, regions suffering from depopulation, and earthquake disasters.
The newly released scene photos include a shot of Shinsaku happily fishing in the sea of Minamisanriku with a big smile on his face, Momoka Sekino (Mao Inoue), who is like the Madonna of the town he met at his new destination, and Momoka’s There are shots of Shinsaku’s father, Akio Sekino (Masatoshi Nakamura), a fisherman who does his best to take care of him.
Shinsaku, who went into self-isolation soon after moving to Japan, secretly sneaks out of the house wearing a mask and sunglasses, carrying a cooler box, saying, “If it’s for fishing, I’ll disguise myself!” He continues to pray for Momoka’s happiness, “I pray for Momo-chan’s happiness.” There is a scene where the four quirky members of the group, Take (Ken Miyake), Ken (Pistol Takehara), Yamashiro (Koji Yamamoto), and Kosaku (Masao Yoshii), are having some sort of trouble at the Imoni Party, and Shinsaku and Momoka are having trouble. There are many shots that give you a sense of the “unexpected life” that occurs in Shinsaku, such as scenes of them talking on cell phones while maintaining distance in the same room, and enjoying new encounters with people in the town.
