Singer-songwriter eill held the tour final of her first national tour in about two years, “BLUE ROSE TOUR 2024,” on October 18th at Tokyo International Forum Hall C.
While the fans, who had been waiting for the tour finale for the first time in about two and a half years, were anxiously awaiting Eill’s appearance, an alarm clock suddenly sounded throughout the venue. As soon as the alarm sounded and the members entered, background music began to play, and a retro narration that felt nostalgic began. When the start of the live performance was announced with a narration that sounded like listening to a morning radio broadcast from the Showa era, or even earlier, Eill entered. They kicked off the final tour with the song “BAE,” as if to say “Good morning, everyone!” as a greeting.
After he finished singing “BAE”, which has a cheerful rhythm that makes you want to clap along, he continued with “FAKE LOVE/”, which is Eill’s signature upper tune, and got the audience into a groove. . They brought a sense of unity to the venue with their horizontal grooves in time with the performance, and then performed “Trap” without wasting any time. Just when you think it’s the start of a refreshing morning, the scenery of the venue has already changed to a sparkling and fashionable night scene, and by the time you realize that you’ve fallen into Eill’s trap-like trap that fascinates the listeners. , three songs had already been completed.
“Well, the BLUE ROSE TOUR 2024 Tokyo Final has arrived. How are you all?” he said in greeting, and his face fell as he looked at the venue, which was filled with people who hadn’t seen each other in a long time and people who were meeting for the first time. “Can everyone go! OK! Let’s go!” he shouted to the audience, and the guitar intro to “25” began to sound. In “Tada no Gal”, each member makes a highlight with a magnificent and piercing sound that you can’t imagine from the song title, and then a mashup of “Succubus” and “Hatsukoi” returns to eill’s adult sound. He invited the audience to a rich and glamorous world. While maintaining an adult view of the world that seems to be filled with alcohol, the soft piano phrases hit the ears, and many times in the first season of Amazon Prime Video’s romance reality show “Love Transit”, which became a hot topic. It was the intro to “happy ending” which I also heard. When the chill sound filled the venue with the comfortable rhythm of the live performance, which was different from the sound source, it gave us a completely different scene from what we had heard during the program.
After running through a section where the atmosphere changes rapidly, the live performance enters the “Home Session” part, which is the highlight of the show. “I’m going to do this based on the concept of inviting everyone into the room where I usually write songs,” so the band members left their previous positions and took center stage this time. Gather in the created room set. While preparing for a home session, with the keyboard and drums replaced by tiny instrumentals, he said, “I asked everyone on Instagram in advance what they wanted Eill to sing on this tour, and I was surprised. There are suggestions for songs that everyone would like to sing! We would like to choose from these in a fishing style, but what do you want to hear?”, Eill asked, and a fan asked. A flurry of requests came in. However, when Eill picked up the binoculars that he had brought for today, he said, “Today, I wanted to see everyone’s faces. I brought the binoculars!” and looked around the venue. Eill’s friendly character was evident as he looked through the binoculars and said, “I can see so much! I can see even your pores! Everyone is waving! Hey ho!” The band members humorously introduced themselves, as if friends had gathered at their home to talk about something trivial, and Eill picked up the first song of the home session.
When they first selected “Pre-Romance”, they performed a warm arrangement that was a little different from the usual band arrangement. Next up was Kaito, the guitar player, who was in charge of fishing, and as the members exclaimed, “Fishing looks good!”, Kaito caught a “20.” When Eill started the performance by saying, “This is a family gathering corner, we’re all family, so please sing together!” The audience erupted into warm claps and hands, and the music began to flow not only on stage, but throughout the venue. Guitarist Katsushiro Sato suggested, “How about we listen to the songs we want to listen to from the first to third floor seats?” and each fan loudly insisted on the songs they wanted to hear. While various songs were requested, four carefully selected songs were performed: “palette,” “Odose Naide,” “MAKUAKE,” and “special girl.”
After relaxing at Eill’s house in the name of a home session, the venue went dark. When a spotlight shines on it, there is Eill sitting in front of the keyboard. He said, “I’m going to bring you a one-sided love song that I wrote at the end of summer,” and then he sang and sang “Katapo,” a ballad song that is one of Eill’s best. After singing “Katapo” solo, a fantastic image was projected on the three televisions set up on stage. Along with the video, the venue was enveloped in a fantastical ambient sound, and the song immediately went into “happy ever after.” As the song begins to sing softly with piano accompaniment, its appearance changes one after another towards the second half of the song. As the band enters from the second verse, a majestic membrane of sound that cannot fit inside the venue fills the venue for the finale. At the end of the build-up to the last part, all the sounds cut out, and the ending part, with piano accompaniment again, speaks, “Leave me alone.” The part where he says, “Leave me alone,” is a reflection of the past that has bound him, not just love. It was an overwhelming expression that could be captured as a gift with a message that supports liberation from bondage.
The live performance finally enters the climax part. After performing “SPOTLIGHT”, which can be said to be synonymous with Eill, and encouraging each person who came to the venue with the words of Eill, they gathered at this venue with the message, “Let’s start a revolutionary miracle right here and now.” They pushed up the voltage of the venue with “23” as if to say that they want to continue pushing forward and see various scenery together with the fans. The already heated atmosphere of the venue was further heated up with “Breathe here”, and they ended with a chorus of “WE ARE”.
In response to the endless encore from the fans, he appeared on stage again and performed a live arrangement of his latest song, “Kakumei Zenya”, which is also the theme song for the currently airing Fuji TV drama “Usowaki Rhetoric”. Showed off. Even though it was a new song, they sang with a sense of unity with the fans in the venue, as if they already knew the groove, and the second song was a new song, “Baby”, which is also included in the new album “my dream box”. , with u” was performed. “Baby, with u” is a song I wrote for my friends, so I wanted to convey to each and every one of them the feeling of “I’ll always be by your side” to none other than my dear friends (fans) gathered at this venue today. It’s an irreplaceable moment for me. Thank you.” At the end of the encore, I went on tour. At the end of this performance, they enthusiastically sang “Finale.” and concluded the tour final with a large circle.
