Great response to the first broadcast of “Minou R”! Achieved 1st place in X world trend & missed stream playback exceeded 1.15 million times

■Comments flooded in with comments such as “Enken-san⇔That-chan is the best”, “The characters in the cast are so unique that it makes me laugh”, and “She’s going to make the fans who have waited 9 years cry”!

TV Asahi’s “Minou R” (every Tuesday from 9pm), which aired on October 22nd, ranked #1 in global trends on X (formerly Twitter). The number of views of the first missed broadcast also exceeded 1.15 million times (calculated by Video Research, period: October 22nd to October 25th).

This work had been the subject of various speculations even before it aired, but on the morning of the first broadcast, it was revealed that Masaki Suda, who played the role of Taizan Muto’s (Kenichi Endo) college student son in the previous work, Minou, would be the narrator. When it was announced, there was a lot of excitement, with people saying, “The narrator, Suda-kun, is hot!” and “The narrator is so happy.”

Then, at the beginning of the broadcast, Taizan’s former secretary Kaihara (Issei Takahashi) makes a surprise appearance from a cliff somewhere, and he says, “It was amazing to say the least!” “Where are you calling from?” “I was moved by the surprise appearance.” Furthermore, the excitement is accelerating.

And, the replacement partner in the first episode, which was kept secret until the broadcast, was unexpectedly “that”. Taizan’s unique tone when speaking and facial expressions, Ano’s crotch legs, wrinkles between his eyebrows, and his lines in a low voice made me think, “Enken-san and Ano-chan’s acting is amazing,” “The way they talk and walk are so exquisite,” and “ “It’s been a long time coming since the first episode (lol),” received a lot of feedback.

This work received many positive comments such as, “It’s a unique political comedy that will make you interested in politics,” “It will make you think about the nature of politics,” and “It’s amazing how it appeals to you even though it’s a comedy.”

Despite the ups and downs, Taizan somehow managed to win the presidential election and eventually assumed the position of Prime Minister. However, it turns out that the target of this change is “all citizens.” In the face of an unprecedented situation, the next change will occur. Surprisingly, the Prime Minister has been replaced by an unknown murderer (Ryosuke Soda)…

The first episode is currently being streamed on TVer.

■Broadcast on October 29th Episode 2 synopsis
Taizan Muto (Kenichi Endo) is close to retirement, but at the request of Shoichi Futaki (Kishibe Ittoku), the leader of his faction, he will once again assume the position of Prime Minister. However, just then, another change occurred. Her identity has been swapped with Yuka Saejima, who has become a new secretary. According to public security officials Nitta Osamu (Yamauchi Keiya) and Nekota Mamoru (Yamatoki Satoshi), the targets of this change are “all citizens.” In this way, Taizan is once again involved in an unprecedented terrorist attack, and the next replacement attacks him…

Taizan suffered from a headache in the Prime Minister’s office, and the next thing he knew he was standing in a mountain somewhere with a shovel in his hand. In front of me was a man with his hands tied and blood flowing from his head, leaning limp against a tree.

“Did I actually switch places with a murderer?”

Realizing that he is surrounded by tough-looking men, Taizan throws away his shovel and runs away as fast as he can.

At that time, Naoki Kinoshita (Ryosuke Soda), who had replaced Taizan, was at the task force, replacing Takashi Kariya-Kalyan (Akio Kaneda), Maruichiro Tanaka (Kazunari Ohashi), and Yuka. Tanakamaru and his friends have no idea that the Taizan in front of them is actually a different person, but they are annoyed at Taizan who only responds with “Ah…” no matter what they say.

Meanwhile, Taizan (Kinoshita Kao), who has escaped from his pursuers, continues to run toward the Prime Minister’s official residence, penniless and unable to find any means of communication.
