A total of 3 diverse songs that bring out the charm of Girls²! EP “Yoromichi -Take it easy baby-” released

Girls² released their EP “Kyodochi -Take it easy baby-” on October 30th.

This EP focuses on the original charm of Girls² and their life-sized appearance, and aims to be a work that is typical of Girls². In particular, by incorporating the members’ opinions regarding the lyrics, their vision is reflected in the song production process, and the entire EP has a consistent theme and message.

The songs included are original songs for Girls² by six artists affiliated with United Future Creators (UFC). Normally, music production is often done in a “competition” format, where artists and labels select the most suitable songs from among various producers and writers, but in this project, A special process was used in which all three songs were written by UFC.

Three diverse songs will be provided by talented writers and up-and-coming artists in their 20s. While expressing the life-sized Girls² through the three songs, a new side of them is expressed by challenging a genre different from their existing songs.

The title song, “Yorudomichi -Take it easy baby-” is a mid-tempo song that conveys the message, “Let’s take it easy and don’t rush, let’s take detours and walk.” Musically, they are attempting an R&B-based pop song that features a heavy bassline, which is rare in Girls²’s existing songs. The second song “BFF” is a song about the friendship of Girls², which will celebrate its 5th anniversary in 2024. It incorporates the members’ real conversations into a pop sound based on the iconic 80’s sound. The third song, “Good Night Santa,” is a new song that incorporates modern Christmas to year-end culture into the quite challenging genre of hyperpop.

All of the songs on this EP were produced with the help of UFC, and our members were also deeply involved. We, the younger generation, spoke frankly about what we feel in real life and the messages we want to convey, and we gave form to the music that only Girls² can deliver.
I’ve felt this since the last time we worked together, but UFC always creates loving songs that convey us as if we were real, so each song is unique and allows us to give a performance that we can truly enjoy. I’m here!
