RYO-Z announces first solo AL release, Yourson and others appear on the preceding single

It has been announced that RIP SLYME’s MC RYO-Z will release his first solo album “Obsession” on Wednesday, December 4th.

In addition, track maker/producer SONPUB, who is an ally of RYO-Z, also participated as an arranger. The lyrics were written keeping in mind the 30th anniversary of RIP SLYME’s formation, and also the milestone of 50 years old in July of this year.The lyrics are a memorial look back on his life. thing. Aiming for a Japanese-like ease of listening, I tried a narrative style that I haven’t done much before, so I hope you’ll pay attention to it when you listen to it. We want you to enjoy it at clubs, music bars, outdoor festivals, etc., with loud music and a drink in hand!

I had a slight relationship with YOUR SONG IS GOOD in the past, and I personally thought it would be fun to work together forever, so my wish came true. I was overwhelmed with emotion as I was able to create a song that reflected my own life in dance music and that I was hooked on, after getting demos of many songs!

Hajime Takahashi (commonly known as Makoichi) has been thinking since the first time he heard “Dance ni Dome Already” at a restaurant he frequented recently, it would be great if we could do something together, and this wish has come true. First, I created some temporary lyrics for reference, but the lyrics that Makoichi-kun wrote fit the world view perfectly, and all I can say is that it’s amazing!

I also wanted to ask someone to edit and arrange the song, so the first name I mentioned was SONPUB, which is a good match for both RIP and me. There is a song that this song was modeled after, and the good parts in the second half give it that flavor, resulting in an outstanding arrangement!

After working with RYO-Z in the past on HALCALI productions and remixes, and performing together with RIP SLYME on TV, the time has finally come for us to make a song together! It really hit me hard. Furthermore, when I heard that Makoichi-kun from our label mate Omoide Yaro A-Team would be in charge of the hook, and that SONPUB-kun would be participating in the arrangement, I couldn’t help but feel excited (lol).

When I first got the call asking for help, I was extremely happy! At the same time, I was a little nervous about Ska, a genre that I wasn’t very familiar with, but I was enthusiastic about doing it!

The part I was in charge of was mainly mixing, arranging, and mastering the song once it had a certain shape, so by adding dance music elements to the raw ska sound, I added more energy to the song. I realized that.
