Eight-piece hip-hop crew 8mileAliens has announced that they will release their new EP “But Beautiful” on Wednesday, November 13th. In addition, the preceding single “Abyss” was released today, November 6th (Wednesday).
8mileAliens originated in Kanazawa and is currently based in Tokyo. The members are rappers, DJs, producers, and art directors from the 1998 generation. Since the first album “Miles” released in 2021, each member has been actively engaged in solo and unit activities.
This is their first EP since “Maiden Voyage” released in 2020, and it is a work where you can feel the jazzy and soulful atmosphere that is their origin and signature. The rap by TETTA (ex. Neam), who is also a member of the crew and is also active as a designer, was also performed for the first time, and the lyric was completed with a more life-sized message than ever before.
The lead single “Abyss” is a song in which crew members OHSE, OZK, and TETTA participate in rap. The sample is full of 80’s mood, making it a melancholy and mellow track. The music video released at the same time was directed by TaiKino.
Additionally, a joint tour between 8mileAliens and fellow band GAME CENTER & Future Brothers will be held starting this month. Check this out as well.
