[SUPER☆GiRLS]Fans are crazy! We ran through 60 minutes of non-stop live music without an MC!

On November 9th, the idol group SUPER☆GiRLS held a 60-minute real nonstop live performance in Tokyo called “Nonstop Zenryoku Live 2024” at Spotify O-WEST in Tokyo.

SUPER☆GiRLS was formed in 2010. They are an indispensable group when talking about the Japanese idol scene, having released 31 singles so far, holding one-man live performances at Nippon Budokan, and holding numerous successful idol festivals.

In January 2023, 5 members of the 6th generation joined the group, and currently it is composed of 9 members as “Chapter 6”. They are affectionately known as “Supaga” by idol fans, and the singles released every summer are described as “summer superga” due to their refreshing and high quality songs.

This non-stop live event is a 60-minute non-stop performance of songs without an MC, with each member wearing a pedometer and competing in teams to see how many steps they have taken.

On this day, before the non-stop live, #Mooove!

As soon as the members appeared on stage at 6pm, the team division and captains for the day were announced, with Ayaka Kamata and Ayana Kashiwa each serving as team captains for the day. The team led by Kashiwa consists of four people: Sakabayashi, Kadobayashi, and Sakurai. The team led by Kamata consisted of Takeuchi, Tanaka, Kawamura, and Habuchi, and the division of the team was announced on the day.

As the start of the live performance approaches, both teams form a circle and get fired up.

When the non-stop live performance started, the first song was “Hanamichi!! A-Ambitious”, which is suitable for running through 60 minutes at once. When captains Kashiwa and Kamata shout “Oath” at the beginning of the song, the enthusiasm of the fans and the venue increases even more.

Afterwards, she belted out a fun up-tempo self-introduction song, “Koi Shite YES~This is my idol path~,” and then performed “Tobikiri Dare Yori Natsuishi Koto”, which was released this summer. The song is characterized by refreshing, sweet and sour lyrics and catchy choreography, but unlike the usual live performances, this time it’s a special version in which the melody is faster or slower, and it matches the members’ momentum.

In the middle, they performed cute and lively songs that are representative of SUPERGA, such as “PAN-PAKA-PAN!” and “JOY!&JOY!!”, and the fans also turned their penlights into towels and responded to the serious performance of the members. .

Then, as the live entered its final spurt, the band continued to play summer tunes that were typical of SUPERGA, and the fans cheered the members with all their might. When the final song was sung and everyone cut the finish line, the venue erupted into loud applause and cheers.

The stage immediately moved to showing off the number of steps taken by a pedometer, and each individual’s step count was announced.

While many members increased their step count compared to the previous performance in Nagoya, Nanami Takeuchi’s 6,248 steps was the one with the highest individual step count on that day.

As a team, the Kamata team won by a narrow margin of 6,037.8 steps, only about 60 steps behind the Kashiwa team. Kamata, the captain of the winning team, said, “I thought everyone was a good teammate,” and was joined by Takeuchi, Tanaka, Kawamura, and Habuchi from the same team.

Although he was criticized for his weak comments, he spoke with a smile of joy.

Also, although they unfortunately lost, Kashiwa said, “Although we lost, Kana-san’s movements were bigger than anyone else, Sakurai-chan’s small but full-fledged performance, and Ariwa-san’s encouragement really resonated with me, so I wanted to do my best. He praised his team members.

In addition, as a final announcement, we are aiming to hold a live concert to commemorate the 14th anniversary of our debut in December, and to perform at the “FNS Kayosai” in the collaboration project between “TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL” and “FNS Kayosai” currently being held. He directly conveyed his presence to the fans gathered at the venue and called for their support.

As we approach our 15th anniversary, the momentum of SUPER☆GiRLS is still unstoppable!
