■60 years since TV Tokyo opened! 60 years of famous songs with new songs and archived songs will be aired with videos full of “TV Tokyo’s unique production”
From 17:30 on November 20th “TV Tokyo Music Festival Special 1964 → 2024 – 60 years worth of masterpieces! In fact, it has been decided that “Best 100 Shocking Videos of Songs” (tentative title) will be broadcast. It has been announced that Taichi Kokubun will be the MC of the program, and announcer Hitomi Tanaka will be the moderator.
60 years have passed since TV Tokyo opened its doors. From its opening in 1964 to 2024, many famous songs were born and colored the era. As a large-scale music special program “because this is the 60th anniversary year,” we will be broadcasting 60 years worth of famous songs from new songs and archives with videos packed with “TV Tokyo’s unique production,” while also incorporating the latest popular artists and songs.

This time, as a special project for the 60th anniversary of the opening of TV TOKYO, we will deliver plenty of famous songs from 60 years from 1964 to this year. I’m sure there’s a hit song or memorable song for each generation, from young people to the elderly.
Taichi Kokubun will be our MC, and he will run through the 4 and a half hour live broadcast with maximum excitement!
