Vaundy writes new opening theme for anime “SAKAMOTO DAYS” “Hashire SAKAMOTO”

It has been announced that Vaundy has written the opening theme “Hashire SAKAMOTO” for the TV anime “SAKAMOTO DAYS” which will start on January 11, 2025.

“SAKAMOTO DAYS” is a very popular manga work that has been serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” since 2020. The cumulative circulation has exceeded 6 million copies.

The first season of the TV anime “SAKAMOTO DAYS” will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other channels every Saturday from 11:00 pm starting January 11, 2025.

The main PV for the TV anime “SAKAMOTO DAYS” will be released at 12pm on November 13th, and you can also listen to part of the new song “Hasare SAKAMOTO”, so be sure to check it out.

■Vaundy comment
This time, I wrote the opening theme for the TV anime “SAKAMOTO DAYS”, “Hashire SAKAMOTO”.
I loved the original work, such as the power of the illustrations, the story development, and the gap between daily life and the habit of killing each other, so I was very happy to be entrusted with the opening of the important first anime adaptation of such a work.
When I created “Hashire SAKAMOTO,” I wanted the song to convey the “overwhelming strength that no one can catch up to” of the main character, Sakamoto, whose back everyone is chasing.
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to record the song in London, and it ended up with a slightly different sound, making it a song that I personally feel was quite accomplished.
I hope that this song will run together with the original work, the anime, and everyone.
