Jon Batiste's first solo piano album "Beethoven Blues" will be released on Friday, November 15th!

He won the Academy Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for the 2020 film “Soulful World,” and will win five awards at the 64th Grammy Awards for his albums “We Are” and “Soulful World.” Achieved a great feat. Jon Batiste is a pianist and singer-songwriter who is also active as a composer, music producer, and actor, and his collaborative song “Be Who You Are (Real Magic)” with New Jeans and JID became a hit last year.

This work, the first in a new piano solo series, breathes new life into Beethoven’s representative pieces by reflecting his own experiences and background. Beethoven’s masterpieces performed by him are a wonderful fusion of blues elements in terms of rhythm, structure, melody, emotion, and composition.

The inspiration for this work accelerated after an interview with CNN’s Chris Wallace in 2023. On that occasion, Jon Batiste played Beethoven’s Bagatelle No. 25, “Für Elise,” on the piano, transforming Beethoven’s music into blues and gospel. This performance received a great response on social media, and the video of her playing “Für Elise” has been viewed more than 40 million times on Instagram and TikTok.
