Space Battleship Yamato is a masterpiece that shines brightly in the history of anime, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To commemorate the anniversary, “Symphonic Suite Space Battleship Yamato” (released December 25, 1977), a monumental anime soundtrack released by Nippon Columbia at the time, was remixed by going back to its original 16ch multi-tape. Space Battleship Yamato 2024mix” will be released on December 25, 2024.
This time, the material for the jacket has been reconstructed in the same way as the sound source. The digital data scanned from the original painting was retouched to bring back the vivid colors of the time, the same as painting restoration work, and the background space was designed to give a sense of depth. The work title logo of “Suite Yamato 2024mix” has been placed.
You can also enjoy the jacket, which has become more shiny since then, along with the sound.
