Watari Sawabe’s solo project Skirt has released the music video for “Watare ga Yumekara Awametara” from their 4th major album “SONGS” on YouTube.
This song has a mellow and sad melody typical of Skirt, with the addition of Mellotron arrangement by keyboardist Yusuke Sato, giving it a gentle and elegant impression. To commemorate the release of the “SONGS” analog record on November 13th, the music video for “Watashi ga Yume Karamekara” was released.
The music video is a full-length animation work by que, an animation artist who has been involved in many skirt works. Please pay attention to the heartwarming story woven by the main character and the surrounding characters.

I don’t think “Watari ga Yume Karametaara” is one of the most outstanding songs in SONGS. But for me, it was an important song that helped me get out of the slump caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Mr. que has added a new story to “When I Wake Up from a Dream.” Please come and immerse yourself in this world.

An unhealthy pop band that has a somewhat dark yet refreshing songwriting and band ensemble that has earned a reputation among people of all professions, genders, and ages. In 2006, Wataru Sawabe’s solo project began with a focus on recording through overdubbing. In 2010, he started his own label, Katuka Sounds, and started his activities in earnest with the release of his first album “S.O.S.” In April 2021, he was in charge of the opening theme song “ODDTAXI” for the anime “Odd Taxi” in collaboration with PUNPEE. With his extensive knowledge of comedy, in September 2023 he served as a judge for the final round of the comedy award race “UNDER 25 OWARAI CHAMPIONSHIP” for those under 25 years old, and also wrote the theme song for the competition, “Expectations and Premonitions.” He is also involved in the production of numerous animation works, movies, drama soundtracks, and music. Also, due to his songwriting sense, he has provided songs to Takashi Fujii, Kaede (Negicco), Toko Miura, adieu (Moka Kamishiraishi), etc. Furthermore, as a multi-player, he has participated in live performances and recordings with Spitz, Makoto Kawamoto, and the Moon Riders, whom Sawabe himself respects, making him a wonderful singer-songwriter and band member that has attracted attention for his diverse talent and genre-regardless nature.
