The 3 o’clock heroine Kanade makes a surprise appearance in the drama “The Reason We Fall in Love”! “I felt like an actress (lol)” (Fuma Kikuchi)

■Kanade passionately plays the role of Kurosawa (Fuma Kikuchi) and Aoi (Rinka Kumada)’s colleague who tears their relationship apart (!?)! “I just came up with an ad-lib!”

The 6th episode of TV Asahi’s Osidora Saturday’s “The Reason We Fall in Love” (every Saturday from 11pm), starring Fuma Kikuchi and Rika Kumada as the heroine, was broadcast on November 16th.

In episode 6, viewers were excited by the sudden development in the last two minutes of Tomoya Kurosawa (Fuma Kikuchi) and Aoi Morita (Rinka Kumada), who thought they were going to break up. Social media was flooded with voices of surprise.

This work is becoming more and more exciting, and what helps this is the gorgeous guest lineup that appears throughout. In the third episode, Gambareruya appeared and attracted attention, but in the sixth episode, the 3 o’clock heroine Kanade made a surprise appearance and became a hot topic.

In 2022, “Fat, Love, and Mistakes!” Kanade, who made her debut as a leading role in a drama, and has experience as an actress in various works, plays the role of Nakamura, an employee who works at the same company as Kurosawa and Aoi. Kurosawa and Aoi appear in an important scene that will determine the fate of their love, and act to tear their relationship apart! What’s more, the meaningful words that Nakamura murmured after the two left revealed his hidden feelings for Kurosawa, and Kanade’s portrayal of Nakamura with all his heart left a strong impact.

■ When I saw “actor Fuma Kikuchi” for the first time, I said, “The drama switch is on!” (Kanade)
Kanade and Kikuchi have often appeared together on variety shows, but this is their first time co-starring in a drama.

According to Kanade, the Kikuchi he met on the set of this work was different from the one he has shown on variety shows, saying, “I thought there was a ‘drama switch’. I always say, “Good morning. ‘, but in this scene, he brought out the cool atmosphere of the role, and even when the camera wasn’t rolling, I felt like I was in the role.” I made a new discovery. He highly praised Kikuchi’s acting style.

However, she seems to have turned on her “actress switch” on the set, saying, “I naturally fell in love with the role, and in the actual performance, I ended up ad-libbing my lines on my own,” perhaps expressing her love for Kurosawa. Kanade confessed that such meaningful words were improvised from within.

As she shared behind-the-scenes stories about the shoot, Kikuchi seemed to be becoming more and more of an actress. When Kikuchi asked, “Did you have any conflicts when you received this offer?”, she answered, “To be honest…I don’t look very good. I have a weak impression, and I don’t want to play this kind of role. I had never played a role before, so I was hesitant at first about accepting a role that was so different from mine, so I had to wait a while for a response…” he continued, finally speaking with Kikuchi. Kumata was trying hard to hold back his laughter.

Kanade pursued her “actor spirit” to the fullest, and Kikuchi was impressed, saying, “She looked like an actress (lol)! It was a role that really got me hooked.”

Episode 6, which features Kanade’s passionate performance, is currently available for free on TVer.

In the seventh episode, which will be broadcast on November 23rd, while Kurosawa and Aoi are finally together and spend a happy time together, a new trial will befall them. Furthermore, Sakamoto finally confesses his feelings to Ayaka… Pay attention to where the love story will take a big turn.

■Kanade (3 o’clock heroine) comment
I was happy when I was asked to do this, and it was a really fun experience. I naturally fell in love with the role, and in the actual performance, I ended up ad-libbing my lines on my own. But to be honest…I have a weak appearance, and I haven’t played many roles like this before, so at first I was hesitant about taking on this role, which has such a gap. So, I had to wait a little longer for a reply, but when I tried acting, the lines came out naturally, and I’m glad I took part in the role!

It was my first time working with Mr. Kikuchi on a drama set, and from the moment we met, the atmosphere was different from before, and I wondered if there was a drama switch. When I’m on a variety show, I’ll come in with a lot of energy and say, “Oh, good morning!”, but here on set, I feel like I’m getting into the role even when the cameras aren’t rolling. I did. It was a good feeling, and I thought it was good for this person to have this side too. On the other hand, Mr. Kikuchi seemed a little too prepared for me, probably because I was new to him on the set of the drama (lol).

■Episode 7 synopsis
Kurosawa Tomoya (Kikuchi Fuma) was prepared to break up with him, but he is relieved when the reason why Morita Aoi (Kumada Rika) rejected him is revealed. And Kurosawa’s worries are dispelled, and he feels happier than ever spending time with Aoi. However, just as Kurosawa is at the height of his happiness, “certain news” arrives…

On the other hand, Ryo Sakamoto (Tatsuya Shichigosankake) realizes that he has feelings for Ayaka Ichikawa (Hirona Yamazaki), but is worried that the distance between them cannot be reduced. Unable to stand still, Sakamoto stops Ayaka and finally confesses to her. Meanwhile, she encounters Tomoharu Shiraishi (Rotoshi Furuya), who is courting Ayaka.
