“Fast Break” is a youth story based on high school basketball. The leading role is Motonori Nakazawa, a talented young actor who is currently attracting attention for his solid acting skills, having played the role of Sho Inuzuka in the TBS Sunday Theater “Gekokujo Kyuji” (2023). He realistically plays the main character, Shunto Kusamura, a new member of the high school basketball club who genuinely loves basketball and wants to beat his rivals in basketball with his friends.
Other members of the basketball club include Gaku Oshida, who played the role of Gates Meikoin/Kamen Rider in Kamen Rider Zi-O (EX), and Ryota Kobayashi, who played the role of Tanjiro Kamado, the first main character in the stage production of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. , Yuki Nakayama, who played the role of F6 Dodomatsu in the stage play “Osomatsu-san,” Riki Tanimi, who played the role of Ichimonji Minamisen in the stage play “Touken Ranbu,” Keiji Arai, who won the “CAMPUS BOYS 2022” Grand Prix, and members of the rival school’s basketball club who played the role of F6 Dodomatsu in the stage play “Touken Ranbu.” Tomohiro Okutani, who played the role of Kaoru Hakaze in “Ensemble Stars! Among the veteran actors, famous support player Yoshitan Ohtsuru plays the role of the baseball club advisor who has a connection to the main character, and Maiko Kawakami plays the role of the fair and honest school principal. The director is Toru Hasegawa, who has written numerous scripts for dramas such as “The World’s Bizarre Story” and “Higurashi no Naku Koro,” and also directed the romantic comedy “Adultery Virus” (2022).

Mitsuho Fukudome is a former member of AKB48 and is from Hyogo Prefecture. He graduated in 2022 and is currently active in a wide range of activities as a talent, appearing on variety shows and promoting the appeal of boat racing, making him a breakout talent representing 2024.
Fukudome, who made her silver screen debut in this work, plays Aika, a high school girl who holds the key to the story. The main character, Shuto Kusamura (Motoki Nakazawa), who has just joined the basketball club, Masamichi Nemoto (Ryota Kobayashi), the captain of the basketball club, and Shinnosuke Kadono (Keishi Arai), the manager of the basketball club, are on their way home from school when they meet a delinquent who looks too scary. He discovers Aika, who was entangled with Hiragawa (Kentaro Gyojo) and Kinoshita (Hiragi Tanaka).
In order to save Aika, who shows a confused expression, Sunto calls out to the delinquents to stop them, but ends up getting punched in the face while being teased. A former delinquent, Sunto’s heart is ignited and he fights off the delinquents while claiming self-defense! Although Aika escaped the disaster, she left the scene without thanking Sunto.
Later, when the basketball team was about to compete in the district tournament, the delinquents who discovered that Sunto was from the Minenan Daisan High School basketball team reported the fight to the high school. What’s more, he is so cruel that he even prepares a false medical certificate claiming that Sunto assaulted him and injured him unilaterally. Even though he used violence to save Aika, who was entangled with him, Sunto is unable to prove it and is suspended from school, and the basketball club is in danger of suspending its activities. In order to prove Sunto’s innocence, the members of the basketball club search for Aika’s whereabouts.
In the scene photos that arrived this time, Aika, wearing a camel-colored uniform, can be seen getting tangled up with delinquents and her expression tense with fear. In addition to the shot of him holding a basketball and looking anxiously into the distance, there is also a shot of him pointing his finger at something while speaking next to a club member wearing a basketball uniform. Since he is a key figure in the story of this work, the scene photos we received this time may provide a hint as to the fate of Sunto and the rest of the basketball club.

■Story
When Shunto Kusamura graduates from junior high school, he also graduates from being a delinquent. In order to reassure his mother, he entered the private Minenan University Third High School. Sunto decides to join a club in hopes of getting a university recommendation. The basketball team members come there to scout. After actually playing basketball and finding it fun, Sunto quickly decides to join the club.
In fact, the basketball club was in danger of being disbanded due to a lack of members. Determined to play basketball, Sunto practices hard, recruits new members, and even lets ghost members return. Finally, the friends gathered together and it was decided that they would participate in the official match. …However, the situation quickly changed. When Sunto’s past fight was discovered, the basketball club’s activities were suspended. Even if he just saves a high school girl who was involved in a delinquent crime, the teachers won’t trust him. So, what action did Sunto take, wanting to at least protect his friends in the basketball club?
