Guitarist KANAMI of internationally popular artist BAND-MAID becomes the first Japanese to achieve this feat! PRS signature model guitar release decided!

BAND-MAID is a globally popular all-girl hard rock band whose new album “Epic Narratives” has topped charts around the world. Lead guitarist KANAMI (Gt), who also wrote all the songs for the new album, has decided to release the first Japanese signature model from PRS, an American guitar maker that leads the modern guitar scene.

This model, named “PRS KANAMI Limited Edition”, will be produced in a limited edition of 200 pieces worldwide. Check out the official page for details on the model, which is packed with KANAMI’s unique features. In conjunction with this release, we have received comments from the person himself.

“I came across the PRS and was drawn to it, and it quickly became an indispensable part of BAND-MAID.

I am very honored that my dream of having my own signature someday has become a reality.

Ever since I started playing the PRS Custom 24, PRS has always been the core of BAND-MAID’s sound.

Regarding the specifications of this model, in BAND-MAID songs, you often play up to the high E on the 24th fret.

Since I frequently switch between humbucker and single coil sounds, I decided on the Custom 24-08 control layout.

Regarding the color finish, he said, “Let’s do our best with BANDMAID with this guitar from now on.”

When I made my decision, the first PRS color I bought was Trampas Green, so

I chose Trampas Green Smokeburst to convey the meaning of not forgetting my feelings at that time.

Without forgetting our original intention, together with this signature model, we will continue to deliver songs that will give you energy and power.

BAND-MAID is currently holding ZEPP TOUR 2024, and is scheduled to perform at ZEPP HANEDA on November 25th and 26th. ~World-famous girl band “BAND-MAID” with over 20,000 people on tour across the U.S.~

The hard rock sound that goes against Maid’s appearance has gained support from fans and media all over the world, and the total number of views on YouTube has exceeded 200 million. YouTube reaction videos from fans around the world have been released one after another, and have been viewed over 40 million times. They have received support from rock and metal fans, and have become the most popular girl band overseas, with more than 20,000 people attending their US tour in 2022. Up until now, they have performed world tours almost every year, rocking the stages of major festivals in Japan. To date, they have toured the US, UK, and Europe, recording sold-out performances at each performance.

In 2019, they announced a tour partnership with one of the world’s largest eventers, “Live Nation,” and released the album “Conqueror,” which included production by rock legend Tony Visconti.
