Nanaka Suwa “NANAKA SUWA 5th LIVE ~A world spun by footprints~”

“NANAKA SUWA 5th LIVE ~The World Spun by Footprints~” was held on Saturday, November 16th at Yamano Hall in Tokyo. Centered around the songs from the concept mini-album “The World That Footprints Spun” released on October 30th, it was a live show where you could feel Nanaka Suwa’s trajectory so far. Report on the !

The venue went dark and the sound of the piano echoed. When Nanaka Suwa (hereinafter referred to as Suwawa) appeared on the stage under soft light, she immediately performed the popular “Harumachi Uta” from her concept mini album “The World That Footprints Spun”. After expressing the serious lyrics beautifully with a slow pace, the following song, “Yume Juya”, with its impressive piano phrases, releases the words emotionally at times and sings a song with a worldview.

“Welcome to “NANAKA SUWA 5th LIVE ~The world spun by footprints~”! Are you excited? I would like to weave a new world together with everyone from the songs released so far, including new songs. It was a heavy song from the beginning (lol), but from here on there are some brighter songs, so let’s enjoy it!”, and the cute intro of the new song “World of Words” echoes. After delivering introspective and sad lyrics while being enveloped in gentle light, the next performance was the spacey and electric pop song “Starry Garden,” which included dancing. It was cute to hear them jumping up and down during the chorus, and the stylish electric piano and electric phrases were also very comfortable. During “Morning glow,” which had a powerful intro that elicited calls of “Oi! Oi!,” he stood on either side of the stage and asked the fans, “How are you doing?” > Greetings. During the speedy interlude and outro, fans were excited, waving their penlights up and down.

After “Atashi Biyori,” a song about sad yet sparkling feelings, they began to sing their new song “Flower Language.” The stage light changes from blue to yellow to pink one after another, resembling a colorful flower. He sings this song with all his heart, allowing you to feel the two great charms of pop music: catchiness and sadness. The high level of expressiveness especially when the melody drops was outstanding.

After running through five songs at once, he said, “For “Flower Language,” there were a few people who chose colors other than pink and purple for their penlights, but now I’d like you to try changing them to the color of your favorite flower.” I asked them to wave colorful penlights at me. “Next time you perform this song, please try using the color of your favorite flower. Then, I wonder what color the next song will be”, he said suggestively, before moving on to his new song “Runnatte”. It’s a dance song with a heavy guitar and a speedy, light piano, and Suwawa takes it up a notch. This kind of serious and heavy vocals can also be said to be one of Suwawa’s charms. Fans waved purple penlights to support the song.

The last number “My Step” of “The World Spun by Footprints” is a stage with impressive yellow lighting. The song is a bright and positive song, a complete change from “Nenrentte”. A clap naturally occurs in the falling chorus, and in the final chorus, Suwawa plays a long, relaxed tone over and over again. Then, in the city pop-style song “Hito Atsu”, she sings with a falsetto and a stylish sound and rhythm. On the way, there was a message saying, “Let’s go together!” It was also cute that she was singing as if calling out to someone.

“Today’s costume is an arrangement of the one I wore in the album jacket photo,” and when I showed it to them, everyone said, “It’s so cute!” “Please sit down and listen to the next part in a relaxed manner,” he asked, and then performed “Lavender Tears,” a pleasant minimal sound consisting only of piano and drums, in a lavender-filled world. The combination of Suwawa’s main melody and the beautiful melody of the piano playing lightly in the background makes your heart feel sad. It was a very impressive performance, including the line “I’m fine.”

“Memory Fantastic” has a melodious and expansive chorus that feels great. From the second chorus, they sang while sitting on the garden bench placed on the stage. She sings a song with cute vocals that is perfect for this season, when it’s getting a little chilly and the illuminations are spreading, and then she sits on a chair on the opposite side and sings the medium ballad “Storytelling” while opening a book. The deep, grand, and sparkling sound that reminds you of a story is another highlight of this song. When we released our first album, the songs were about a new story that we were going to walk forward, but now I feel like we’re looking back on the past, and we’re also going to walk with everyone in the future. It sounded like a song of new determination.

“It’s the last song! Let’s get excited!” he shouted, and the fans who were sitting listening stood up. In the last song of the main story, “Wonderland!!”, they performed by stepping from side to side and dancing during the chorus.

In response to Suwawa’s call for an encore, Suwawa appeared in a costume change. First off, with “Gust Wind Sparkle,” she lets out a relaxing singing voice and a beautiful falsetto, blowing a pleasant breeze. The blue of the stage and green penlights of the audience seats seemed to express an open landscape.

“Thank you for the encore. I wore a live T-shirt that was more processed than everyone else’s. This has an Alice-like image. I need everyone’s voices for the next song! When I pointed the microphone at it, everyone sang. Please have fun as much as you can,” and sang the piano rock song “Give Me Emotion!!”. The chorus of “Everyone!” Smile! The song was completed with the voices of the fans, and the call and response in the interlude and D melody was perfect, and the song was exciting all the way to the last chorus. At the end, he repeats “Please Give Me Emotion!!” four times, concluding the lively and emotional song. At the end, they performed the opening song “So Sweet” while dancing cutely in the pink-stained venue, and ended “NANAKA SUWA 5th LIVE ~The World Spun by Footprints~” surrounded by a happy aura.

“Everyone, I hope you had a great time! This time we had the most songs than any of my live shows, but there are some songs I haven’t played yet. If you want to hear them, please come and listen to them live again.” Please come,” and leave the stage with a smile. The songs for the concept mini-album were solidified in the first half, and the song selection and song order felt fresh, but it was the 5th live where you could feel her progress so far and her thoughts on the future.
