INI’s new song “Make It Count” will be featured in the TV anime “Anyway, I’m in Love” which will start airing on January 9, 2025. ” has been selected as the opening theme. Prior to the broadcast, a second PV using some of the sound sources was released on YouTube (TBS Anime Channel).
“I’m going to fall in love with you anyway. ‘ is based on the popular comic by Haruka Mitsui, currently serialized in the monthly magazine ‘Nakayoshi’ (Kodansha). This is a school youth story depicting the love story between four childhood friends who grew up like a family and the main character, Mizuho Nishino.
July 1, 2020. Mizuho, a second year high school student, was having the worst possible 17th birthday. I won’t have a chance to get closer to the senior I admire, and my parents will completely forget my birthday… Moreover, due to the outbreak of an unknown infectious disease, club competitions and school trips were canceled, and I thought, “I will never have a “sparkling youth.” However, just then, her childhood friend Kizuki suddenly declares that she is a potential boyfriend.
The second PV has now been released. The story begins as an “adult” Mizuho looks back on his time as a high school student. Terutsuki looks at Mizuho with a serious look and says, “I hope I can be Mizuho’s boyfriend.” Mizuho is wavering even though he used to be like a younger brother to him. “Make It Count”, sung by INI, plays as the five people, who were childhood friends and their relationship changes little by little, encouraging them to realize their feelings that are overflowing at that moment.
Regarding “Make It Count”, which marks the beginning of “Koishima”, INI said, “It is a song characterized by lyrics that express the feeling of “cherishing every moment” and a vast and delicate soundscape like youth. The lyrics link to the feelings of the main character Mizuho Nishino, who embraces the “now” so as not to waste it, making it a warm-hearted pop song!”
