■Nozomi Sasaki comment
I accepted the offer because it was a role I had never played before, and it was a thrilling script in which I didn’t know what would happen until the very end.
Sachiko Tachibana, who I play, is on the side of seeking revenge, but she also has a weak mind and is not suited for revenge because she is swayed by everyone. I could sympathize with Sachiko’s human heart.
When preparing for the role, I try to recall memories of times in my life when I felt bad. We had a rehearsal before filming, so we were able to gradually complete the process. Also, since I am playing the role where I aspire to be a pianist, I am also practicing the piano on my own!
Sachiko has an ally, but I hope you’ll enjoy the mystery of who it is, and support her until the end to see if she can get her revenge.
■Nagisaki Shibuya comment
I’m really excited because the role of “a strong enemy who is being avenged” was not in my image up until now. I think there are many strong people on the receiving end of revenge, but Reina is always smiling and warm-hearted and is loved by everyone around her, but at her core she is completely black, so I thought this was an innovative revenge story. I hope you enjoy that gap as well. I am trying my best to move the hearts of everyone who watches it. I think the strength of Reina’s feelings for people and the fact that she can just turn them off if things get inconvenient are interesting too.
When preparing for a role, I use my smile as a weapon. I will do my best to make this smile feel strange to everyone.
There are mysteries, various foreshadowings, old stories that come out alternately, and lots of plot twists and developments, so I hope everyone will be excited to watch it until the end!
■Producer Saeko Amamiya comment
This is a drama in which the main character is a woman with a kind heart who is not set on revenge.
The main character, Sachiko, chooses to live a turbulent life for her family and herself, even though she knows that “revenge won’t yield anything.” I am sure that the way he stands up against a huge enemy even as his heart is torn apart by guilt and conscience will touch the hearts of many viewers. Sachiko’s enemy, Reina, does a lot of harsh things in the story, but why did this kind of madness come about? I think some people might want to take a look inside Reina’s mind.
Ms. Sasaki gives a passionate performance as Sachiko, who risks her life to seek revenge! And Mr. Shibuya plays a monster who degrades people with an angelic smile! This is a drama where you can see many sides of the two that you have never seen before. Please enjoy it.
