SOMAOTA releases new self-produced song “Imaginary Village” for first solo performance

SOMAOTA releases new single “Imaginary Village” today, November 27th (Wednesday). A music video was also released at the same time.

He is the MC of the Kansai hip-hop collective Black petrol, whose appearances at “SUMMER SONIC 2023” and “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24” are still fresh in his memory, and as a solo artist, he has also performed at Taiwan’s “Neon Oasis Fest.’24”. SOMAOTA is a rapper/producer who is involved in a variety of activities, including appearing in ”.

This work was born out of confronting his roots during his first one-man live “Trans”, which is scheduled to be held at Shibuya LUSH in Tokyo on Friday, November 29th. Produced by SOMAOTA himself, the track pays homage to the artists who got him into hip-hop.

The music video was created by video creator Moritakurou, and we covered SOMAOTA’s new life in Tokyo closely for two days. The content approaches SOMAOTA’s private life.

What kind of performance will SOMAOTA, who sings about suffering from the gap between the “ideal world of childhood = “Imaginary Village”” and the real world, give in her first solo live? Expectations are high.
