Ryusei Sakuma Profile
Born November 28, 1997 in Kadena Town, Okinawa Prefecture. At the age of 19, he admired Ed Sheeran, taught himself to play the guitar, and began his career as an artist by performing on the street as a singer and player. His first live performance was at MOD’S in Chatan, Okinawa. He has interacted with artists of the same generation and hometown such as Ozworld and Grace Aimi, and has excited the local live scene with Okinawa’s unique artists. On October 5, 2020, Ryusei Sakuma made his debut with “NO BORDER” from the label “Groovillage” to which PUSHIM and Rhyme Systo belong. Since March 2023, they have moved their base of activities to Tokyo, and have been making their presence felt in clubs and live scenes mainly in Shibuya and Shimokitazawa. The occasional voice percussion adds spice to the live performance, and his one-man show, which utilizes the looper along with his partner’s guitar, grows with each performance and excites the venue. But above all, Ryusei Sakuma’s voice touches the hearts of the listeners, permeates their hearts, and makes them fall in love with his singing voice. He may be the one to take the Okinawa movement to the next stage.
