DÉ DÉ MOUSE and CHERRYBOY FUNCTION’s collaborative single “Girl-300” will be released today, December 4th (Wednesday). A music video was also released at the same time.
The two are comrades and old friends. Approximately half a year has passed since “Sunset Lover”, which had the concept of “returning the sound of 2007”, has already delivered a new collaboration song.
This work begins with a fanfare-like synth lead that sounds like the dawn of brightly colored birds flying around. This work is not only nostalgic, but also has a sophisticated cut-up melody, Pacific high-tech saxophone, and “Jupitar Jazz” (Underground Resistance). With an impressive synth stab, it’s a machine soul track that is truly from Detroit – via Tokyo – Galactic State.
The single also includes “CHERRYBOY FUNCTION Mix,” a one-shot machine live recording. A 90’s tech house groove with a strong Detroit techno vibe is developed.
