The trailer and visual for the movie “Yukite Kaheranu” (released nationwide at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya and other theaters from February 21, 2025) starring Suzu Hirose, Daisei Kido, and Masaki Okada have been released. This work is set in the Taisho era, when the “flowers of culture” are in full bloom, and depicts the fierce love and youth of three real men and women. The screenplay was written over 40 years ago by Yozo Tanaka, who directed “Zigeunerweisen” and “The Sailor Suit and the Machine Gun,” and many directors aspired to make it into a film, but for a long time they were unable to make it happen. , so to speak, is a phantom script that only those in the know know.
Director Yoshitaro Negishi, a master craftsman who had always admired this script and said it was a “rarely excellent scenario,” took up the megaphone for the first time in 16 years and portrayed three men and women who run like sparks in a beautiful era, Suzu Hirose, Daisei Kido, And played by Masaki Okada.

The trailer keeps your eyes on the dramatic developments, such as Chuuya standing with a blank expression in front of the approaching train. In the visual that was released at the same time, Yasuko, Chuuya, and Kobayashi stand on the same dance floor, but their gazes never overlap, as if to express the distorted relationship between the three. The catchphrase, “Is it pure love? Is it pure love? Where do the three types of love end up?” hints at an intense love story.
In addition, the theme song has been decided to be a new song “Humor” written especially for this film by up-and-coming singer-songwriter Tatsuya Kitani, who will be in charge of the theme song for a feature film for the first time. Kitani, who was infatuated with the literature of Chuuya Nakahara, created this song with love and respect, and part of it was shown for the first time in the newly released trailer.
After listening to the theme song, Hirose said, “The moment the theme song started, I thought it was a great song with a lingering feeling from the movie, but the second half had a different worldview and a slightly interesting balance.” Kido said, “ It has a very sad feeling that applies no matter which character is the main character in the lyrics, and it’s a song that you can listen to over and over again and replay over and over again. I believe that writing poetry is the act of daringly interpreting meaningless reality in a humorous way and reproducing it in the format of words. Humor does not simply mean “being funny,” but rather in the sense of finding gaps in reality by looking at it in an unusual way, and adding some kind of room for comfort.
In addition, people cannot be eternal, but words can be. The words left behind continue to touch the hearts of others. Living in modern times, I have come into contact with Chuya Nakahara’s poetry in this way, and perhaps Yasuko was also like that.
I wonder how Chuuya’s poem resonated with Yasuko and Kobayashi in the final scene of “Yukite Kaheranu.” Also, I wonder how the movie “Yukitte Kaheranu” will resonate with those of us who leave the theater. I wrote the song with these things in mind.

■Synopsis
Kyoto. Yasuko Hasegawa (Suzu Hirose), a young actress, met Chuya Nakahara (Daisei Kido) when she was still a student. Yasuko, 20 years old, and Chuuya, 17 years old. The two are attracted to each other and begin to live together, despite their arrogance. Their values are different. However, they all had a common demeanor that allowed them to respect each other.
