Kazuo Funaki (79) made a spectacular debut on June 5, 1963 with the single “High School Third Year” and took the world by storm.

This year, 2024, marks the 62nd anniversary of his debut, and on December 12th he will finally reach his 80th birthday. Toward his birthday, a concert titled “2024 Kazuo Funaki Concert Countdown 80′” will be held at Shin-Kabukiza in Osaka. In conjunction with the performance, the “Kazuo Funaki Exhibition” will be held in Osaka for three days starting December 10th (Tuesday) at the Osaka International Exchange Center, a 5-minute walk from Shin-Kabukiza.

Both Nagoya and Tokyo ended with great success, but at the Osaka venue it has been decided that the first issue of Kazuo Funaki’s sponsored magazine “Ukifune”, which was launched on August 15, 1964, will be exhibited!!! This first issue, which can be said to be the beginning of Kazuo Funaki’s supporters’ association that has continued for more than 60 years, is one of the few valuable materials. This time, we will enlarge it and display it so that everyone can see it, including its contents.

In addition, he has reprinted the greeting comments included in the deluxe corro sheet “Kazuo Funaki: Prince of Songs,” which was released in 1968, five years after his debut, and is now difficult to obtain. It will be open to the public only at the venue. This is a valuable real voice of Kazuo Funaki, who has been making his debut for 5 years.

In addition, the costumes featured on the cover of the January issue of Monthly Uta no Techo will also be on display. This will also be the first time that casual costumes will be exhibited. You can enjoy the exhibitions in Nagoya and Tokyo with more fulfilling contents.
