Tomomasa Teranaka, the guitarist and vocalist of the popular band KETTALK, will be performing for the first time on stage and in the lead role in the Austra Macondo production of “The Woman Without a Shadow,” which will be performed from March 24, 2025 (Monday). was announced.

This work is an opera composed by Richard Strauss.

The libretto was written by German author Hugo von Hofmannsthal. It premiered in 1919 and continues to be performed today as a major German opera production.

This time, Teranaka will play the main character, the Emperor. This work is Teranaka’s first full-fledged attempt at acting, but it is his first time on stage and his first leading role, so you can see the high expectations he has for it.

Teranaka expressed his thoughts on the work, saying, “I hope that through this stage play, it will be an opportunity for each person to think about their own sense of values.” Teranaka added, “This is my first time on stage and my first lead role.I have high expectations. I will do my best to make sure that my life is reflected in the role I am given,” he said with enthusiasm.

The emperor’s wife will be played by Misato Shimizu, who has expanded her range of activities as a talent in recent years.

In addition, important roles will be played by Shoko Yamai (Elegant Life) from Yoshimoto Kogyo, whose videos on Instagram and YouTube are a hot topic, and Shuki (Stardom), who continues to lead the women’s professional world. There is.

This will also be Yamai’s first appearance on stage.

This is a work with high expectations as to how the four people, who don’t usually interact, will come out from their respective places and depict the masterpiece from 105 years ago.

Austra Macondo’s main production of “Woman Without a Shadow” will be performed at Kichijoji Theater from March 24th (Monday) to March 31st (Monday), 2025.

The emperor who lives on the islands of the East is married to the daughter of the king of the spiritual world (Kaikobat).

There is no shadow of the girl who became the empress.

When the Empress learns that the emperor will turn into stone due to the curse of not having a shadow, she attempts to obtain a shadow from the wife of a poor dyer.

A dyer’s couple is separated in the spirit world because they are degraded by a mother who hates humans.

Meanwhile, the Empress and her baby wander on a ship in the spirit world.

However, in the end, she does not want to obtain the shadow at the expense of others.

Because of the preciousness of her spirit, a miracle occurs, and the emperor is resurrected from stone, and she too gains a shadow and becomes human.
