The teaser video for the drama “Son of a Son is Love is Too Much” starring Ren Nagase and Mizuki Yamashita will be released tonight

■Teaser video will be released for the first time after “Snowdrop’s First Love” is broadcast!

The teaser video for the new drama “Koi wa Muzusugi for the Son” (starting January 7, 2025) starring Ren Nagase and Mizuki Yamashita is the last part of “Snowdrop’s First Love” broadcast on December 10. It will be published for the first time.

The video depicts the narcissistic remarks of a super vain heir played by Ren Nagase, and the character of a commoner girl played by Mizuki Yamashita, and both versions will be released simultaneously on the official website and YouTube.

This work, which will be broadcast on Kantele/Fuji TV’s Tuesday 23-hour drama slot “Tuesday Eleven”, is about the grandson of the chairman of a major apparel manufacturer, who has been pampered to the fullest and lived a free-spirited life. This is a romantic comedy about a girl who becomes a co-worker with a commoner woman who was born and raised in a country, and while working together on making children’s clothes, she experiences her first setbacks and learns about true love.

This time, the first lines of each of Subaru Tendo, a narcissistic heir played by Ren Nagase, and Madoka Hanakura, a commoner girl played by Mizuki Yamashita, are revealed in this teaser video. How will Madoka respond to Subaru’s strong narcissistic remarks? While expressing the relationship between the two in the drama, it has a luxurious finish.

How will Nagase express his first lines as Subaru? Let’s check it out.

■Ren Nagase and Mizuki Yamashita comments
–Please tell us what you thought when you saw the teaser video for the first time.
Nagase:The worldview of this work is clearly conveyed. I think it’s a preview that you can tell just by watching it once that this is the kind of story this is going to be. I was kind of fidgety (lol)
Yamashita:The atmosphere is grim and there is still a long way to go, so please look forward to what will happen next.

――During the teaser shoot, it was your first time speaking as Subaru/Madoka, but was there anything you kept in mind?
Yamashita:It was easy for me to say my lines because they cut right into me.
Nagase:It was difficult for me to say it (lol), but I was also embarrassed, and it was my first line while all the staff were watching, so I think it was quite a powerful line. It was a very memorable experience because I felt like I was being watched. I was nervous.

–The drama started airing the other day, please share your enthusiasm for the future.
Nagase:From the first day, Madoka got mad at me and it was scary! I spent the time thinking that (lol) I’m really looking forward to seeing how the relationship between the two will change from here. On the first day of filming, I didn’t get the feeling that a romance would develop, so as filming progressed, I wanted to enjoy watching the relationship evolve in various ways.
Yamashita:The crank-in was a new employee training scene, and (the director) asked Subaru to try saying his lines as if he were speaking to a five-year-old, and that really made sense to me. I’m starting to see the relationship between them, and even though we’ve only been filming for one day, I think their interactions will become more interesting.
Nagase:If you ask me, I didn’t just feel angry, I felt like I was acting like a 5-year-old, saying, “I really can’t help it.” (laughs)
