Karasuto -uto- releases 5th single “Koe” with TAIHEI as producer

Karasuto -uto- released their new single “Koe” today, December 11th (Wednesday).

Karasuto-uto- is a unit consisting of Bey Sato (Vo.) and Hikari Kubota (Pf.). This 5th single was released as a new step after a sold-out independent project to commemorate the band’s 1st anniversary at Shimokitazawa 440 in Tokyo in October.

The producer is TAIHEI (Suchmos, Sai), and Ryozo Obayashi (Ba. / SANABAGUN., RYOZO BAND) and Chino Matsuura (Dr. / Sai, SHAG) also participated in the recording. While valuing Karasuto’s worldview and the texture and depth of its sound, it has created a completely different side from its previous works.

Pay attention to the singing voice that changes as the song progresses, as if the story progresses, and the lyrics that address the words that shape who you are.

When I lost track of what I believed in and felt like I was falling apart, the words from the people I cared about helped me.
I think it was because of these voices, whether they were singing voices or encouraging me that it was okay, that I was able to live my life.
In turn, I wrote a song about that gratitude and love for myself.
But I hope that it will reach someone who feels the same way I did that night and take away something from it.

This was also the first time I worked with a team to produce something.
The best members took me to the place I wanted to sing.
This is the last work of 2024.
I was really happy during my first year at Karasuto.
And what! We are planning to release another album with the same members next year.
I look forward to seeing you there, and I would be happy if you would continue to watch over me.

Karasuto’s 5th song “Voice”
The bass draws close to the song, enveloping a sense of tenderness and protection, while the piano spins memories.
The contrast and flow created by the first and second verses was expressed through sound as if to push you back.
This work was produced by TAIHEI (Suchmos/Sai), and was completed with delicate and deep emotions, and we received careful support from the arrangement. Ryosuke Fujii is the Mixing and Mastering Engineer.
We asked support musicians Ba. Ryozo Obayashi (SANABAGUN, RYOZO BAND) and Dr. Chino Matsuura (Sai, SHAG) to create the song together.
I’m really happy to be able to work with members that I respect from the bottom of my heart.
