Chim Chap, who released his first EP “ORANGE” on October 30th, released the music video for the EP’s lead song “Chewing Gum” on December 9th. The film was directed by MARCY, who specializes in videos of band performances, and the video, which focuses on the band’s performance, is a mix of monotone and color, and the camera work that matches the fast-paced music is impressive. In addition, some of the guest artists for the already announced EP release live “THE “ORANGE” TOUR” have been announced. KADOMACHI and pachae have been confirmed for the Osaka performance on January 11th, and Ochunism has been confirmed for the Tokyo performance on January 13th. One more artist will be added to the Tokyo performance. Tickets are already on sale to the general public.
Both performances are expected to create an interesting chemistry with Chim Chap. I would like to take this opportunity to visit it.

Chim Chap is a 4-piece mixture band from Shiga. Based in Kansai, active at live houses and street performances. They won the Grand Prix of “ESP BAND CONTEST 2023” and “Judai Hakusho 2024”, and also appeared in large festivals such as “SUMMER SONIC 2024-Can’t you come!? Summer Sonic!?-” and “Inazuma Rock Festival 2024”. Each member has different roots, such as rock, pop, jazz, and funk, and they produce a variety of songs.
One of Chim Chap’s charms is his mixed Japanese/English lyrics created by Jesse, who has roots in both Japan and the United States, and his unique style of playing lead guitar as well as vocals and guitar.
