Three years have passed since the previous work’s epic adventure. The main character, Moana, who has a special bond with the sea, becomes “the one person who guides every 1,000 years that connects all the seas,” and sets out on a voyage to reunite the world in search of the people on the faraway island. It happens. In the face of such a dangerous voyage, the song “Beyond” conveys Moana’s determination to overcome the difficulties, despite her conflict and mental hesitation at being separated from her beloved friends and family.

This song, which is sung at important moments in the movie, has become a hot topic around the world with its impressive lyrics that encourage oneself, such as “I am Moana” and “Let’s overcome.”

This Kento used to perform a cappella covers of Disney songs when he was a student. “To be frank, I’m happy, but I was an a cappella performer when I was a student, and at that time I had been doing covers of Disney songs for four years, so I never thought I would be able to help in this way. I never thought I’d be able to do it, so in that sense I’m extremely happy,” he said, expressing his joy at participating in the Disney production.

When covering “Beyond ~Let’s go beyond~”, the part that I paid the most attention to was the chorus, “I am Moana”. Making full use of her a cappella experience, she created a thick backing chorus to express Moana’s determination and the grandeur of the song. He sang this song with his thoughts, saying, “I hope it will give you all the courage to take on new challenges.”

Furthermore, in addition to participating in the song cover, he also took on the challenge as a voice actor for the Japanese dubbed version. At the beginning of the story, Kento plays the island resident who is surprised by the ax Loto swings down to improve Moana’s ship, and this is his first time acting as a voice actor, and he says he was full of surprises.
