■Episode 9 synopsis
Naoaki (Yoto Tsuchiya), who suffers from heart disease, is finally able to undergo the surgery that his mother Tamaki (Sonin) and others have been waiting for. Makino (Kohei Matsushita) tries to encourage Kei (Mori Okamoto), who cannot hide his anxiety about his younger brother’s surgery, but as a doctor, he cannot tell him that it will be absolutely fine.

Meanwhile, Naoaki is getting better with Taruka (Koiwa Sato), whom he befriended while in the hospital, Takuma (Shigo) and Hiroya (Kousuke Yoshida), and Yamato (Haruto Yamaguchi), whom he made friends with during his previous school expedition. By making a series of “promises” since then, he was taking step by step towards the surgery.

However, one day, Naoaki sees Noruka just after surgery and shuts herself up in shock. Makino heads to the hospital for Naoaki’s sake at Kei’s request, but…
