■“We ourselves are a band that has been traveling on a winding road, and we created it by replacing ourselves with the drama.” (Novelbright/Yudai Takenaka)
The drama “Dragon of the Court” starring Mone Kamishiraishi and co-starring Mahiro Takasugi will be broadcast on TV Tokyo from January 17, 2025.
Novelbright’s “Winding Road” has been chosen as the theme song for this movie.
Tatsumi (Mone Kamishiraishi), who went from being a professional shogi player to becoming a lawyer, and Torataro (Mahiro Takasugi), the head lawyer who is worried about managing his office. The lyrics, which are close to the two of them as they grapple with a difficult case, are a song that will encourage those who listen to it.
A 70-second preview trailer for the first episode has been released. There is a lot of interesting content that will air from January, such as the meeting between Tatsumi and Torataro, their first request, Tatsumi attending the trial in Japanese clothes, and the shogi board (!?) that appears in the courtroom.
A preview trailer using Novelbright’s “Winding Road” as the theme song has also been released. Let’s also pay attention to the music.
The main visual for this work has also been completed. Tatsumi, dressed in Japanese clothing and wearing a lawyer’s badge, points to the dragon piece, and Torataro gently approaches Tatsumi. In addition to Usaha, Kasumi, Tatsuo, and Rie, there are Tenbin and shogi pieces with a dragon motif on the background that resembles a shogi board. The design depicts a story that combines shogi and a courtroom.
In addition, the unique guest cast and additional cast for the first episode have also been released.
In the first episode, Keiko Matsuzaka plays Kinuko Kosaka, who is a victim of an unwanted items purchase scam and approaches Tatsumi and Torataro for advice. Takashi Yamanaka plays Hiroki Kosaka, Kinuko’s son and a salesman at a general trading company. Mizuishi Abimu plays Yuya Kirioka, a thief who commits an unnecessary goods purchase fraud.
Takashi Fujii will play Yojiro Ayuda, Torataro’s late father and the former head of the Ayuda Law Office. Let’s look forward to the broadcast of the first episode to see how Tatsumi and Torataro will tackle their first request.
■Novelbright・Yudai Takenaka Comment
I’m very honored to be in charge of the theme song for “Dragon of the Court.”
In life, things often don’t go smoothly, but I created this book with the hope that if you have the will to move forward one step at a time, the light will always shine through.
We ourselves are a band that has been traveling on a winding road, and we created it by replacing the drama with ourselves.
“Winding Road”
I hope this song will brighten your tomorrow.■Keiko Matsuzaka comment
I was able to work with Mone Kamishiraishi, and I was able to feel the sincerity of her efforts as the filming progressed one scene at a time.
It was a heated scene under the direction of director Horie.
Everyone, please look forward to it. Thank you for your continued support of “Dragon of the Court”.■Takashi Fujii comment
I was worried that I would play the role of Mahiro Takasugi’s father and a lawyer!? But I was worried that I would be playing the role of Satomi Kobayashi’s boss, so I had no choice but to do it.
I thought it was great. When I first met the staff for costume fitting, I was so warmly welcomed and made me feel at ease. and costume
Mr. Takasugi, who had finished the meeting earlier, was waiting for Ritsugi to say hello, and I was moved and said, “What a great son!” I’m also looking forward to Mone Kamishiraishi’s great efforts! Please take a look!

After his father’s time when he had many lawyers, Torataro is now the only lawyer he works with. One day, a suspicious woman, Tatsumi Tendo (Mone Kamishiraishi), whom he meets at the courthouse, suddenly hands him an envelope. Inside the envelope labeled “Sealing Hand” was written a prediction of the outcome of the verdict, and it turned out to be perfectly accurate. Although she has no experience as a lawyer, Torataro and paralegal Rie Inui, impressed by her ability to foresee the future, decide to hire Ryumi as a lawyer on a trial basis. Ryumi, who used to play shogi, compares the incident to the standard of shogi and leads to a solution!?
