Nagoya-based rapper WiL releases 2-song single “blue screen*”


WiL, a rapper based in Gifu and Nagoya, released a new single “blue screen*” containing two songs today, December 18th (Wednesday).

WiL started his activities under his current name in 2022, and in parallel with his solo project, he is also attracting attention for his activities in the hip-hop unit GOOBER, which he formed with his ally producer tinjao.

This work was inspired by “Windows XP” that WiL was exposed to when he was a child, and the title song “blue screen*” was created by SORAMAESONO, a producer of BANDIT, a creative team based in Gifu and Nagoya. ” and “bliss*” produced by the aforementioned tinjao.

SORAMAESONO’s “blue screen*” is a track that is characterized by a variety of beat changes that gives it a sense of speed, and the track “bliss*” is a track by tinjao that has a chill, minimalist atmosphere and impact. You can listen to WiL’s light flow that gives you a sense of playfulness.

The artwork is by LEONKANO, who also works as a director for BANDIT. Additionally, a music video by BANDIT’s cameraman Chihiro Higashi and LEONKANO is scheduled to be released soon.
