A documentary series in which Atsuhiro Sato visits former members of Hikari GENJI will be broadcast on WOWOW

“7 STARS – 7 Answers – The Present Light GENJI Connected by Atsuhiro Sato” will start broadcasting on WOWOW from 7:00 PM on January 5, 2025 (7 episodes in total).

Hikari GENJI, the “strongest idol of the Showa era”, debuted in 1987. Their successive hit songs dominated the charts, creating a social phenomenon in which all media was filled with Hikari GENJI.

Thirty years have passed since Hikari GENJI disbanded, and this is a documentary series in which Atsuhiro Sato, who was the youngest member at the time of his debut at the age of 13, visits former members with one strong feeling in his heart.

“At that time, I wanted to ask what other members other than me were thinking and how they were spending their time.The members of Hikari GENJI, now that we’re this old, there are so many things we want to talk about and what we can talk about.” I feel like that’s the case,” says Atsuhiro. After 30 years, the camera captures the moment when the reality of the time comes to light.
