The main visual for the drama “Forest” (starting January 12, 2025) starring Manami Higa and Takanori Iwata has been released. At the same time, the opening song and the synopsis of the first episode were also announced.
The main visual, which was released with the catchphrase “Will you be happy even if you expose this lie?”, features Higa and Iwata, the stars of W, in the center. Although the two lovers are close together, Higa’s expression is full of anxiety, and Iwata’s expression has a hardness that gives the impression of determination.
Also, while Higa was looking at him, Iwata was staring in a different direction. The different perspectives of the two are impressive.
Five hands are entwined in the picture frame that surrounds the two. Is it a devil’s hand or a helping hand…?

■Episode 1 synopsis
Kaede Ikushima (Aimi Higa), who works at a flower gift company, and Jun Ichinose (Takanori Iwata), who runs a dry cleaning shop, are lovers who have been living together for almost a year.
Two years ago, Kaede and Jun had a fateful encounter, and their lives are ordinary but happy, and they begin to hear the voices of those around them expecting them to get married. However, whenever such a topic comes up, the two have ambiguous expressions. Because the two of them are telling each other a certain lie…
Kaede told Jun that she had no family. However, one day, the two receive news of the death of Kaede’s mother, who was supposed to be absent. In fact, Kaede has had a mother, Suzuko (Miyuki Matsuda), who has been isolated since she left her parents’ home three years ago. Moreover, Suzuko is the president of the famous hotel group Bran Forest, and Kaede is her only daughter.
Kaede, whose “lie” that she had hidden about her family’s existence is now exposed, confesses to Jun about her feud with Suzuko. Without blaming Kaede, Jun goes with her to Kaede’s parents’ house to mourn Suzuko, but there they end up witnessing an unexpected sight…!?
