■“It was fun to perform while being surrounded by such kind people” (Jesse, SixTONES)
The monthly drama “Monster” will reach its final episode on December 23rd. All filming has now been completed, and Shuri, Jesse (SixTONES), and Arata Furuta have all started filming together.
Starring Shuri, who led the filming as the director for four months, looked back on the filming and said, “I felt like it was over before I knew it,” adding, “Part of this job is a battle with myself.” , I sometimes feel lonely, but when I came to this site, Everyone was kind and warm… It was a very comfortable place, and I was able to stay there.” Despite having to deal with a huge amount of difficult technical terminology that is unique to legal dramas, he was relaxed from start to finish. He revealed that he was there for a photo shoot.
On the other hand, Ryoko, played by Shuri, was the one who was surprised by the amount and length of the lines, and made the audience laugh by jokingly saying, “I was thinking about getting off until the day before I cranked in.” However, Jesse, who plays Yoshihiro Sugiura, becomes Ryoko’s buddy and a good understanding of her.
“It was perfect at home, but on the first day of filming, I had to mostly have the assistant director tell me the lines from the side…”, he said with a laugh, recalling the first day of filming, but in the end, he said, “I’m really glad Shuri-san was the director.” “It helped me a lot,” he said, praising Shuri and his efforts for about four months.
The person who immediately responded to the staff’s shouts of “All up!” and livened up the scene with a tear-jerking performance was Ryoko Kanba’s father, played by Shuri, and the strongest lawyer who sometimes stands in Ryoko’s way.・Arata Furuta who played Haruaki Ikurai.
When the director hands them a bouquet of flowers, they once again show their expressions as if they can’t hold back their welling up emotions. The veteran actors’ service-minded appearance caused laughter from the staff, and people commented on social media that they “look like a real parent and child.” Shuri couldn’t help but smile as she brilliantly played the role of a parent and child who look so much alike. Jesse also excited the staff by calling out to the staff, “Do you have any tissues? Tissues!”
Furthermore, when asked to comment on Crank Up, Furuta continued, “I’m blessed with a really good staff and cast… (tears),” and ended with a mischievous “I will continue to do so! Step by step, I want to work hard to improve.” Thank you very much!” (laughs)
In addition, there was a surprise that Uno, Otsuki, and Nakagawa, who had already cranked up their skills, came rushing in, and the scene ended in a peaceful atmosphere full of smiles.
■Shuri comment
thank you very much! Before I knew it, I felt like it was over. This job is a “battle with yourself” and can feel lonely at times, but when I come to work here, everyone is so kind and warm… It was a very comfortable place, so I stayed there. I am grateful to each and every one of you. I’m sure it was tough for each department, but I’m glad we were able to celebrate the day of uploading with everyone. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again. Everyone, please continue to get along well! thank you very much!
■Jesse (SixTONES) comment
The filming started in August, but there were so many long lines that I even thought about stopping until the day before we started filming (lol). I was told, “I’m playing the role of a lawyer this time, but it’s not that difficult. It’s okay because I feel like I’m being pushed around,” but the lines were long from the beginning… I was practicing long lines for a long time. It was perfect at home, but on the first day of filming, I was mostly being told lines by the assistant director from the side… However, I managed to overcome it and make it to today. It was fun to be able to perform while being surrounded by such kind people. And above all, Shuri is truly wonderful. I’m really glad that Shuri was the chairperson. It helped me a lot. Once again, thank you everyone for your hard work! thank you very much!
■Arata Furuta comment
I’m blessed with a really good staff and cast… (tears) I’ll continue to do so! I will try my best to improve step by step! (lol) Thank you very much!
