Additional cast members have been announced for TV Asahi’s Oshidora Saturday show “Honno Switch” starring Kaito Miyachika (Travis Japan) and Wakana Aoi, which will start airing on January 11, 2025.
This work, which is based on the KUJIRA comic of the same name, is a love story between “childhood friends” Sei Akiyama, played by Miyachika, and Kowa Hoshi, played by Aoi. Junki Totsuka will play Kowa’s colleague and ex-boyfriend, Ken Kojima (Ae! group) will play his cheerful mood-setting junior, and Maho Nonami will play his sister-in-law’s good confidant.
Now, it has been decided that Tomomi Maruyama, Akiko Hinagata, Kazunari Uryu, and Maki Kubota will play the respective parents who watch over Hijiri and Kowa.
Maruyama will play Eiji Hoshi, a father who dotes on his only daughter Kowa, and Hinagata will play Makiko Hoshi, a kind mother who follows Eiji, who loves Kowa so much that he sometimes behaves a little strangely.
Additionally, Kazunari Uryu has been cast to play Sei’s father, Shigeru Akiyama, and Maki Kubota has been cast to play the role of Sei’s mother, Michi Akiyama.
It has also been revealed that Hijiri and Kowa’s childhood will be played by popular child actors Yudai Watanabe and Ameri Isomura. A soothing 4-shot photo of adult Hijiri and Kowa and young Hijiri and Kowa was also released.

Currently, TVer is showing “Miyachika Kaito x Aoi Wakana: The Ultimate 2 Choices to Choose with Honesty!” where Miyachika & Aoi honestly answer the ultimate 2 choices.
The two answered questions with two choices, such as, “What I look for in a lover is reassurance or stimulation,” and “The type of love I long for is a childhood friend, or love at first sight.” The time limit for each question is 5 seconds. This is a project where you have to respond immediately and with “hon-know”.
This is a must-see as the two talk about where they would like to go on their first date, their ideal proposal, and more, as they reveal their views on love.
