Singer-songwriter Ayaka held a Christmas dinner show “Ayaka Premium Dinner Live 2024 Winter” held at Palace Hotel Tokyo on Tuesday, December 24th. This year, the event was held in four cities: Kagoshima, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Tokyo, and was well received in all regions, reaching its final day.
In this live performance, she will perform with Ryota Kikuchi, a pianist with a classical background but also a reputation for improvisational performances, and the beautiful harmony between Ayaka’s singing voice and the piano will create a special night.
The special setlist, consisting only of the piano and Ayaka’s singing voice, was a blissful time that felt simple yet deep musicality and warmth that enveloped the audience.
In addition to the representative songs “Arigatou no Wa”, “Nijiiro”, and “Minna no Sora Shita”, covers of famous songs such as Misora Hibari’s “Aisansan” and The Beatles’ “Yesterday” and Christmas medleys were performed, and it was Christmas Eve. As a Christmas present from Ayaka, she received a surprise: the first performance of her new song “Versailles”, which is the theme song for the animated movie “The Rose of Versailles”.
Ayaka said, “I wrote this song while getting into the world of the work,” and when she finished singing, the audience spontaneously burst into applause. On this day, a special version featuring only the piano and singing voice was performed, and some fans in the audience were moved to tears by the beautiful harmony and special atmosphere. The release schedule was announced, saying, “This song will be the first song we will deliver in 2025, so please look forward to it,” and the venue was filled with excitement.
“Premium Dinner Live” was a live show where you could fully feel the charm of adults, which was different from the usual live shows. Many people will be healed by Ayaka’s new songs and singing voice in 2025 as well.
