I wish it was midnight all the time. has written a new song, “Shade no Koji wa Kangen”, as the theme song for the drama “Icy – Instant Memory Investigation Hiiragi-ban” (Starting January 21st on Fuji TV) starring Haru. I wish it was midnight all the time. However, this is the first time that he will be in charge of the theme song for a prime time terrestrial drama.

“Icy ~Instantaneous Memory Investigation/Hiragi Group~” is a female detective with an instantaneous memory ability known as a “camera eye,” Higetsu Hiiragi, who works with detectives with quirks while facing a past that she can’t forget even if she wants to forget. This is my first time singing the theme song for a drama, so I was happy to be asked to sing the theme song. I read Icy’s script and created it while having a conversation with my current self. I wanted to create a song that captures the passing of time and the old warmth of a person who continues to question themselves while the dust from the shades accumulates, or who finds themselves thinking in a more complex and negative way, but who cannot give up yet.
