■This is Perfume’s first appearance in a feature film in 14 years since “Moteki” released in 2011. Also in charge of the theme song “Human Factory -Denzo Ningen-”!
Perfume’s new song “Human Factory -Denzo Ningen-” has been chosen as the theme song for the movie “Showtime Seven” (to be released nationwide from February 7th). Furthermore, it has been revealed that Perfume will also appear in the film as herself.
An exclusive emergency live broadcast with the bomber begins with a phone call from the bomber at 7 p.m. Shinnosuke Orimoto (Hiroshi Abe), a former popular newscaster, is appointed as the negotiator for the TV station where the bomb was planted. Who is the culprit and what is his true purpose? Why was Orimoto nominated?
■Perfume gets caught up in a “life-threatening live broadcast”…!? The latest video with the theme song released!
“Showtime Seven” is a real-time suspense entertainment in which Hiroshi Abe plays the role of a newscaster for the first time in 40 years of his career, and depicts a one-of-a-kind situation in which a bombing incident suddenly occurs during the live broadcast of a program.
The theme song for this work has been decided to be Perfume’s new song “Human Factory -Denzo Ningen-”.
Furthermore, it has been decided that the three members of Perfume will appear as themselves in this work! This will be his first appearance in a feature film in 14 years since “Moteki”, which was released in 2011.
The theme song “Human Factory -Denzo Ningen-” is similar to the story of the main character Orimoto, played by Hiroshi Abe, getting involved in a big incident against his will. In the choreography of the song, the domesticated cat is expressed through “a choreography in which a cat puts on a tie.”
The latest video with the theme song that was released at the same time begins with a tense scene in which a warning sound rings out. In addition to the gorgeous cast who continue to negotiate with the bomber during the live broadcast but are gradually pushed to the limit, Perfume is also seen performing as usual. What is the meaning of this strong cut that makes you feel “unnatural”? And what will be the shocking ending of the live broadcast on Showtime?
It has also been decided that costumes actually worn by the three members of Perfume in the movie will be on display. It will be held at three theaters nationwide.

■Perfume Comment
Not only was I in charge of the theme song, but I was also able to perform in the show, and was able to experience a feeling that I would not normally experience as an artist. This movie is always thrilling, but even when big events are happening, I think it’s human nature to take it easy when it’s something far away that has nothing to do with us. We want everyone to feel that feeling with our theme song. I hope that the theme song that plays at the end will melt the audience’s hearts. After listening to the story of the movie, I’m really looking forward to the tension of getting involved in a big incident after receiving what I thought was a prank call, negotiating in real time, and not being able to get every word wrong! Furthermore, what is the criminal’s goal? What do you mean? I’m curious. However, I believe that Abe-san will definitely save everyone!■Yoko Ide (producer) comment
“Showtime Seven” is the story of a live broadcast of the battle between newscaster Orimoto and an invisible criminal in extreme conditions confined in a studio. I wanted the audience to be trapped in the same closed-door space of a movie theater, and to witness the entire incident happening in real time, just like the characters. When I think about how I want people to actually experience what’s happening in front of their eyes right up to the very end of the movie, I think the theme song that plays at the ending is inseparable from the main story. Masu.
Many years ago, when I saw Perfume live for the first time, I still remember feeling that the word live was not enough, I was drawn into Perfume’s world, and that I had just witnessed an amazing show. I am. I have felt the pop and strong stimulation of the songs, as well as the modernity of the moment. With Perfume performing the theme song, I believe that “Showtime Seven” has been completed as an entertainment that allows us to feel the present in which we live, not just the ending, but beyond the conclusion of the incident.
