■By G-DRAGON“DRIP”Guide version released for the first time! The whole story behind the birth of AHYEON’s 3-step high-pitched vocals!
BABYMONSTER has released a behind-the-scenes video of the recording of the title song “DRIP” from their 1st full album “DRIP”.
“DRIP” caused a lot of trouble for the members as it was a song with a new mood that had never been heard before. Each of the girls meticulously monitored and recorded repeatedly so as not to miss details such as vocal tone, diction, and emotional expression.
RAMI was the one who was able to digest the numerous directions from the producers all at once and aroused admiration. Still, in order to produce the best possible results, he returned to the recording studio the next day and provided steady feedback to CHIQUITA, showing him examples, and even directly taking direction.
A guide recording version by G-DRAGON, who gained attention by participating in the composition of “DRIP”, will also be released for the first time. From the opening, the intense rapping captivated the listener’s ears, and ASA repeated trial and error to maximize its appeal. He leveraged his unique style with high tones in the right places, and perfected the signature sound of the introductory part with a flash of ideas.
AHYEON’s 3-step high note was born under the direction of Yang Hyun Suk. Yang made an impromptu suggestion on the set to raise the 2nd treble part to 3rd. The sharp G is a high range for pop vocalists with excellent singing ability. What’s more, it was a highly difficult requirement that they had to sing three high notes in a row using their natural voice and a single breath, but AHYEON was able to successfully complete this task, surprising all the staff including Yang.
In addition, BABYMONSTER will hold “2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR
