ANORAK!, cover distribution of Ajikan “Re:Re:” by illequal Leading single from compilation “ie”

The lead single from AVYSS label’s first release “ie” will be distributed for 6 consecutive weeks. The first release, “Re:Re:” by ANORAK! and illequal, will be released on Saturday, January 11th.

“ie” is a 1920s-style cover compilation album created in an era that transcends eras and genres, curated by AVYSS. Each song was created in collaboration with two or more groups, and the participating artists mainly remade legendary songs that updated the Japanese rock/J-Pop scene from the 2000s and 100s using our modern methods. A total of 13 songs are included, all officially licensed cover songs.

“Re:Re:”, which will be distributed as the first advance single, is a song from ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION’s second album “Solfa” released in 2004. It presents a modern intersection of indie/emo and electronic/dance music. The second and subsequent singles will be announced on AVYSS’s social media.

“ie” will be released on March 5th (Wednesday) as a CD with a deluxe booklet. The artwork was illustrated by Mito Kanik, and the design was by Yosuke Tsuchida.
