[BMSG x Chanmina]Girl group audition “No No Girls” debut members decided!

BMSG, a management/label whose CEO is artist/producer SKY-HI and to which BE:FIRST and MAZZEL currently belong, has welcomed rapper/singer Chanmina as producer for the girl group audition “No No Girls”. held. The final judging, “No No Girls THE FINAL,” was held at K Arena Yokohama on Saturday, January 11th.

In front of 20,000 people, the debut group and its members were decided.

The debut group name is “HANA”.

There are now 7 members: CHIKA, NAOKO, JISOO, YURI, MOMOKA, KOHARU, and MAHINA.

“No No Girls THE FINAL” started not only with the final screening stage of the audition, but also with a special stage by Chanmina, and all 30 candidates who made it to the third screening performed the songs they had selected up to the fifth screening. Additionally, Miyuki Oshima (Mori Sanchu) and Gambareruya’s unit MyM acted as MCs, and Kumi Koda and (sic)boy participated as special guests.

The final judging will be divided into two groups: the A team consisting of KOKO, KOHARU, JISOO, MAHINA, and YURI, and the B team consisting of KOKONA, CHIKA, NAOKO, FUMINO, and MOMOKA, and a solo judging in which each contestant will demonstrate their individual strengths. In the group judging, they performed the assigned song “Drop,” and in the solo judging, they each performed songs selected from Chanmina’s songs and added arrangements.

MOMOKA’s “PAIN IS BEAUTY” excited the venue with a performance that burned into your memory, singing with all your heart, MAHINA’s “Fireworks” with two dancers that made you feel like a story was unfolding, and a challenge to pole dancing. After an audition period of about a year, 7 out of 7,000 people became debut members and spoke about their feelings.

■What is the audition program “No No Girls”?

The audition began with an unprecedented application message: “We don’t need height, weight, or age. Just show us your voice and your life.” Over 7,000 applications were received not only from Japan but also from all over the world, including South Korea and the United States.

Producer Chanmina has a history of wanting to be in a girl group but not being able to debut because she was told no to her looks and voice. In this audition, 30 girls who passed the written and face-to-face screening were gathered together, and like her, 30 girls had been told “No” or had denied themselves. With the guidance and screening that only Chanmina can provide, and BMSG’s motto of “not killing talent,” we will guide the participants into becoming a girl group that can be active in the world.
