■To commemorate the 100th edition, we have announced the “BEST 30 masterpieces selected by costume contestants” from 46 years of works!
“Kin-chan & Shingo Katori’s 100th All-Japan Costume Awards,” in which ordinary participants put their ideas to use and work hard to create and show off a piece of work from scratch, will be broadcast on Nippon Television from 7pm on January 13th.
This time, 34 elite teams from a total of 3,580 applicants made it through the preliminary rounds and presented their works. When the hosts, Kin-chan and Shingo Katori, appeared on stage, the whole venue erupted into warm applause. At the beginning, Katori reveals that he is an old man, saying, “Both Kin-chan and Shingo-chan are in the Year of the Snake!”, and when he waves, “Kin-chan, it’s finally the 100th time!” loudly declared, “It’s the first time for the new costume award! I want to start with that feeling!” This year as well, they performed with a harmonious combination from beginning to end, exciting the venue.
And this time, to commemorate the 100th episode, a “special project” will be broadcast where past legendary works will be revived. Out of 4,137 works over 46 years (total of 18,371 participants), the “BEST 30 masterpieces selected by costume contestants” will be announced.
Furthermore, we received comments from Masachika Ichimura and 10 other judges this time.
This time, the “3-hour special” will be one hour longer than usual, including a “special project”. Who will win the 1 million yen prize? Enjoy this emotional drama with no plot that can be enjoyed by both adults and children.
